St Pauli dominated. Brown one of Nurnberg's better players, but it was 2-0 and the xG was pretty close to 2-0.

Nurnberg pounded 4-0 today by Holstein Kiel, which an early red card helped cause. Brown played the whole match, and most of the team was lower-rated, to put an optimistic spin on it. Crap team day.

Brown starts a mid-table battle with Paderborn today. A win would all but mathematically make them safe with four to play.

One of the top-rated players in the squad, but in a 2-0 loss to Paderborn. This group has really faded hard - one point in the last six matches.

Brown starts against Dusseldorf today. They're now up to one point from their last seven matches. However, a win today would clinch staying up. Dusseldorf, meanwhile, are sitting in the playoff spot for promotion.

Brown's sweet corner kick is headed home by Ivan Marquez, tightening this to 2-1 after Dusseldorf grabbed the early lead. Not seeing him credited with the assist online, but sure looks like his assist to me. Hamburg fans rooting on Nurnberg as another goal would keep the Hamburger Promotion drive alive.

Brown with the start against Elversberg today, still riding a losing streak, but leading 1-0.

Losing streak ends with a 3-0 win. Brown came off in the 86th after it was long decided.

He signed with Eintracht in December, but they loaned him back to Nuremburg for six months.

    Speaking of which:

Brown wants to use his speed at SGE - and improve defensively
Driving license bet with buddy Uzun

Since Filip Kostic left two years ago, Eintracht has not had a good selection on the left side. Now Nathaniel Brown has arrived and wants to assert himself. It will be a rocky road for the new signing from 1. FC Nuremberg.
At least Nathaniel Brown shouldn't find it too difficult to get used to his new surroundings . After all, his good friend Can Uzun also moved from Nuremberg to Frankfurt. "I'm overjoyed that he's still playing on the same team as me," says Brown. They even live in the same house in Frankfurt, but in different apartments.
A nice side effect: 21-year-old Brown can now take Uzun, who is three years younger, to training in his car. Uzun still has to get his driver's license. Will he manage to do that by his 19th birthday on November 11? Brown has his doubts and has actually made a bet with his friend.
The battle for the place on the left in the defense is also open. From 2018 to 2022, there was no way past Filip Kostic. During this period, Eintracht mostly operated with a three- or five-man chain, allowing Kostic to play to his strengths in attack. Since then, there have been a lot of substitutions. Luca Pellegrini , Philipp Max and Niels Nkounkou have been able to showcase themselves on the left wing, as have Ansgar Knauff and Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe . However, none of them has been able to permanently recommend themselves for a regular place. Nkounkou has a lot of potential, and it will be interesting to see whether he can stop the reckless actions in his game in his second season on the Main.

    Top speed of 35.5 km/h
Brown, who is technically adept, also has his strengths in attacking, although he only played on the left in the back four in Nuremberg. With a top speed of 35.5 km/h, he was one of the fastest players in the second division. In order to be a defender in BL1, he needs to become even more robust and improve his defensive behavior. He admitted this himself at his presentation on Tuesday: "I rely on my speed, I play forward a lot and think offensively. I want to improve in defensive tackles and heading."
Because of this disposition, he is also a possible player on the wing if Toppmöller decides on a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. The coming weeks of preparation will provide clues as to which basic formation suits the team best and who has the edge on the left.

Brown subbed on in the 78th minute of a 4-1 cup win over Johan Gomez and Braunschweig. Came on after Ekitike's two goals and an assist in a nine minute stretch had put the match away.
