Right now there's only one player in the league with more goals that Nate, and he's out for 2-4 weeks (Ruiz).

Can Nate break Lassiter's record???? :D

I've been one of the biggest critics of nate. The last few weeks he has bagan to impress me. One thing that I sometimes lose sight of is the importance of having the right combination of players in the game. Nate is still young and he is not able to change the game himself but, as soon as Reiter, Rolfe, and Thiago got the bulk of the playing time it has helped Nate greatly. Look at DMB when he was put in a position to succeed at PSV. I hope Nate continues to improve. maybe some day soon he willbe a premier goal scorer in the league. I'm wondering where his ceiling is? His physical attributes can be very helpful to the USMNT. I don't think he's there yet but the The nats definately need height. The english team a few weeks ago towered over us. Josh Wolfe looked like Webster when compared to the english back line. So should we change the name of the thread Nate vs. Landon season long scoring thread?

Nate is definately improving. A lot of us thought he would. But even the biggest supporters of Nate probably see that he doesn't seem to have the speed to play at the international level effectively. Not to say it can't happen but it would be suprising if he ever got a meaningful cap.

Can you imagine Nate paired with Connor Casey? The Baby Giraffe and the Great Lumbering Lummox of Doom. :p

The Scoring Leader will be crowned by goals only this year (Thank God). Assists is the tiebreaker.

Anybody else catch (I think it was) Kenn referring to Jaqua as 'Baby Giraffe' on the air a couple games back?

The only proper nickname for Jaqua is El Jirafito.

It is with great amusement that I announce the following results for 061805: Nate = 6 goals; Metro Ratso = 3 and counting. Thank You. :)

Talk about mixed feelings. I was happy for Razov, especially after seeing the look on the drooler's face. Way to stick it to him, Ante.

But, I really would have preferred a tie or even a mutts loss, as far as the points go. (Although as long as the idiot reigns at Columbus, they should lose every game.)

I personally destroyed Razov on the bowling game at Enchanted Castle, while
his fans looked on, but I feel I would have a tougher time against Nate.

On the MLS homepage, they have a poll up asking who is going to end up being the top scorer this year.

    Is Ante there? NO!

    Is Herron there? NO!

But my oh my, Nate is there!

Not even Dempsey or GAM are there! Imagine that! NAte for WC06 NOW! ;)
