Unfortunately, we need to surpass 2/3 of Tampa, Puerto Rico, and Montreal. I'm not saying it can't be done, though...

Nope...we just need to be in the top four of our conference, which Baltimore is presently #4....who we've beaten twice.

I don't know. I've seen it explained both ways: top four from each conference OR top one from each conference plus essentially six wild card bids.

That would be better for us, but that's not how I read this piece from the US Soccer website:

This one says the same, and adds:

That sounds to me like the playoff teams are the two conference winners plus the six other teams with the most points. If anybody's got evidence to the contrary, that would be great, because we're definitely in the weaker conference.

    What?!

I'm not convinced anyone knows...so let's just root for AC to win every game for the rest of the season. :D

The USL is owning the NASL this year.

And yes, those are accurate from what I've understood all year.

AC making the playoffs are almost impossible.

but if they do make the playoffs...

I will release a live chicken onto the pitch as a goal celebration. Count on it.

    From NASL.com

St. Louis ended their recent four-game road trip with a 1-0 win in Baltimore on Saturday. The victory propelled them off the bottom of the table for the first time this season, and sets the club up for a run at the playoffs. St. Louis remains seven points back of the final playoff position for the moment, but few clubs will enjoy a schedule like AC St. Louis has in front of them.

I wish it said we were only 3 points back, but how great is it now that we're talking more about a playoff run than about stupid financial bs.

I've been done worrying about financial BS.

It is what it is and we have a team today.

I believe we'll be fine. I refuse to believe anything else until the team closes its doors.

Believe me I wasn't trying to stir it back up. Let's keep on complaining about things like our lack of a true goal scorer.

According to NASL.com AC is in 4th. Does that mean the 1st tie-breaker is goals for?

It's full league standings, not conference.

I think head-to-head is the tiebreaker. We're ahead of Baltimore because we beat them twice.

Did I say anything about a playoff spot? No I didnt, jackass. I was simply enjoying being TWO places out of last and wondering what the tie-breaker rules were.

As for conference standings, no idea.

This is the reply I got from NASL asking about the same thing.

The tiebreaker is exactly the same as La Liga. Points vs opp, GD vs opp, then overall GD.
    Hope this helps.

    Man, look at that.

Close to the bottom in goals scored--but quickly rising at this rate--yet close to bottom as well in goals allowed.

Really speaks volumes for our backline and Dufty, eh?

I like Krems #s, 2G 4A -considering everyone else's stats, that pretty good. Or if you put it this way- 2nd in goals scored for the team, 1st in assists
