So Alexi Lalas let his hair grow long again? I think he looks better as a dirty hippie than a young Republican anyway.
The inability to process a negative reminds me of one of my favorite jokes ... Rene Descartes was in a restaurant. The waiter came up and asked if he wanted to see the dessert tray. He said, "I think not," and he disappeared.
There's another joke, although I can only remember the punchline: "Don't put Descartes before the horse"
I’d argue that it would hurt the lawsuit since one of Commisso’s main arguments was the PLS where screwing the NASL over. Interest bit in this thread that noted Soccer Twitter legal analysts @turneresq and @ProfBank both respond that they do not think the @NYCosmos participation in a PLS league would significantly damage the @naslofficial antitrust claim. https://t.co/4TaMMTEgJt— Chris Kivlehan (@kivlehan) October 16, 2019
Ted makes more sense. Bad sense, and mostly wrong, but definitely a more coherent message. Fast is the Rorschach Test of Pro/Rel.
IT’S OVER: Cosmos’ NPSL Members Cup quest ends as Detroit City FC wins title https://www.frontrowsoccer.com/2019...mbers-cup-quest-ends-as-detroit-city-fc-wins/
So, this season, I was starting to hear a few people in Sacramento jump on the USSF/MLS conspiracy theory bandwagon and claim that they didn't want MLS, saying they would switch their allegiance to either Oakland Roots or Napa Valley 1839 if Sacramento got a MLS franchise. It'll be interesting to see how they respond now.
Oh, I'm sure it will be. I'm pretty sure a lot of the social media support for Cosmos-related ventures is similarly fragile, from people who want to show everyone how edgy they are. There's a reason they picked those clubs, and not the perfectly good NPSL team we already have in Sacramento.
Similarly to the people who swore off MLS and the Quakes when AEG moved them to Houston, I would suppose.
Almost a year old (from something five years old), but I stumbled onto this while googling for something else: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/eric-cantona-wins-lawsuit-sacking-13671354
So Cantona was promised an "equity stake" in the Cosmos and felt they used the photographer-as-punching-bag incident as a pretext for cheating him out of it. So he sues and then "settles" for roughly a million bucks US. Lets see: a cool million vs. a piece of the neoCosmos. Tough call, but Im thinking maybe he came out just a bit ahead.
