Is anyone really surprised, you see this coming from a million miles away. Guess the next thing will be is who makes the jump to USL in 2019, guess it will be at least JAX.

Jax will be good. The South will have some good jobs.

What's the difference between USL and NASL? And why does it look like NASL has only like 5 teams?

Down to 4 teams on the website, the two California teams are off, San Diego was obvious with the USL announcement. Really that makes down to three teams with PR being the fourth.

NASL only has 4 teams, 5 last week when you posted this. The main reason they are down to so few teams is that the league was poorly managed from the start. The league likes to blame USSF, and there is a nugget of truth to that, but really it was mismanagement of their resources, expansions, etc. This day has been coming for years, they managed to stave off folding a couple times, but they never were able to fix the underlying issues.

Going from memory here, but I believe the NASL is hoping for an expedited trial that would allow that, but USSF was saying, "We can't prepare for trial in that amount of time." I don't know where it stands at the moment, but if the trial doesn't start until the spring, they'll be hard pressed to play unless Rocco just foots the bill for the entire bit and they somehow get sanctioning at some level.

It'll be interesting to see what plays out in the next few months with this.
