And the sponsors find it to be worth it, because when NASCAR fans become fans of a certain driver, they'll make a point of shopping with his sponsors. If you're a Gordon fan, you go straight to the DuPont cans when it's time to paint the house. If you're a Stewart fan, you don't know where the local Loews' is even if it's next door, because you're going to go to the Home Depot across town. Soccer fans might want to take notes.
NASCAR obviously needs Stock Car Sunday. (You know, just like Soccer Saturday, except... Yeah, yeah, I know. It's always funnier when you explain it.)
