MSNBC has an article on NASCAR benefitting from MLB's potential strike. They also provide a poll...soccer is at 4% while NASCAR has a high 80%...go ut there and press on that poll!!!

Who are the idiots running MSNBC anyway? They also posted an editorial seriously making the argument that Lance Armstrong wasn't a great athlete because the Tour de France wasn't an athletic sport.
"Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life."

I'll help skew the vote again. Soccer up to 5%

Which sport will you watch more of if there is a baseball strike?

    NASCAR
    56%

    NBA
    3%

    NFL
    31%

    Soccer
    5%

    Extreme sports
    4%

Only 200 votes for soccer? Bigsoccer alone must have a thousand people who stuff ballots regularly.

What's worse is that the guy they hold up as an example of a real athlete is a baseball player.

NASCAR and soccer are the only two logical choices since they overlap the most with the baseball season. But, you can't expect much logic out of too many people out there.

Bump. The title of this thread should be changed so that people are aware there's a good ballot-stuffing opportunity. Something like: "Skew a poll and beat NASCAR!!!"

    Up to 8%.

Gee--I wonder why MSNBC argues in the article that NASCAR should be the obvious increase? Could it be, I don't know..

Beause of the options they list, NASCAR is the only league NBC still has the TV rights too?

Its just a shot in the dark.

Disagree. While NASCAR and soccer are probably the most logical choices, ruling out that the other sports leagues won't benefit from baseball is absurd. Most baseball fans have closer ties to the other sports leagues. It doesn't seem improbable to me that if the MLB were to stop playing games, that lots of fans might be more interested in seeing football's summer training camps and even thinking about attending boring preseason games.
