NASCAR fans banned for throwing crap onto the track

Incidents? Mole Hills=Mountains much? Gimme a break.

Splashed beer on a guy is a LOT different than a shower of full cans and bottles raining down on moving cars.
A full beer bottle chucked from the steep tall stands at 'dega could kill somebody.
A beer dumped on somebody will get them wet and should be reasonably dealt with by way of an ejection, not a ban. C'mon.

As far as bans go, yes some MLS teams already do this in some instances.

The Jr Nation sure are idiots though, they are gonna end up killing the BYOB policy at the tracks.

How is this MLS News or Analysis anyway?

 

Ummm, cars moving at very-fast miles per hour running over some shit on the track = people possibly dying. Not really an analogous situation.

True, but they are taking a hardline now on this so that it DOESN'T happen during a race. NASCAR yellow flags races because a small piece of rubber gets on the track from a torn tire....people throwing crap on the track would be a disaster. It's too serious to wait until it happens during a race to act.

In a moment of anger I once through the contents of a grape smoothie onto the pitch at CCS. Seeing the confused look on the refs face when he looked down and saw it was priceless. Of course, I was out of control and would never suggest anyone else do such a thing.

I thought NASCAR banned the BYOB in response to 9/11. Guess they lossened up again. Hard to believe any sporting even would allow you to drag a cooler full of beer into the facility. But I guess I would need at least a few beers to watch cars driving in circles for 5 hours.

 

US or Canadian coins?

 

I don't know. Loonies and toonies don't weigh as much as an American dollar coin, but there are many more of the Canadian coins in circulation than the American ones.

 

UMM Throwing stuff on a race track that can cause a car accident when cars are traveling 200 miles and hour and throwing a hotdog bun on the soccer field arent quite the same.

If Fans could throw as much junk from the stands onto the nascar cars causing masive crashes and explosions MAYBE I would take an intrest IN THIS RAG TAG HILLBILLY RACE CAR CIRCUIT.....

I went to a ECW match where there was a clock count down and when it hit 0 you could throw your seat into the ring trying to hurt the performers...

I threw mine at some one else and not the ring.....
