I've been waiting forever for this movie to come out...as it is the third part of a trilogy. I've never seen a more limited release in my life. They said "limited release" in early October with nationwide release by the end of the month. The movie is showing something like 15 theatres nationwide. It isn't even playing in Atlanta! What gives?
I think, nicodemus, that you've got to treat seeing this movie like a religious experience. The filmmaker is a monk. The series has overt spiritual pretenses. Therefore, if you want to see it, you get to be the pilgrim.
Correct, he is no longer a Catholic monk. I was projecting that someone who works for twenty years on a set of plotless movies devoid of words contemplating the meaning of man's existence in this world may still retain certain monkish attributes.
