Allan was an absolute beast today. And I'll actually give Rui some credit, he created issues all night from the left.
and today Carlo played a team Sarri could've picked. Zielinski in midfield at the start is just too risky - Fabian, Hamsik, and Allan were tremendous
Ya okay with his 4-3-3 or nothing tactics You must of missed the tactical changes made today, especially playing Maksimovic http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/957076277?-31203:19879
So what? Sarri has been amazing for us. We need more time to judge Ancelotti. We are still far from qualifying and 6 points behind Juve.
Ancelotti did tactically well. Something Sarri would have never done. But we need to see over a season which works better. But Ancelotti did something criminal. Starting Milik. There are two players I dont want to see anymore. Milik and Hysaj. I love the rest of the squad.
Good win. But could have scored more. Just watch the highlights, it sounds like Liverpool looks uncharacteristically toothless.
Such a strong midfield and back 4 today. Liverpool got nothing handed to them beside a little confusion between hamsik and Verdi, because Verdi is still learning his position Gonna wear my Capitano shirt today with pride
when Koulibaly plays like that nothing is getting past him but bullshit calls. LFC tried to set salah up too much and it was read. Mane had nothing on maksimovic either who imo might be faster than Hysaj lol. Screw Hysaj seriously, dont wanna see that ******** anymore
Watched the match. We did well, good enough to make Liverpool looked bad and limit their chances. Allan was immerse. He was everywhere hounding the opposition players for the ball. Even Ospina is good. The reason Liverpool did not get one shot on target was thanks in part to him rushing out to snatch the ball. Defence did very well. Maksimovic as RG is a revelation. Agree Milik was bad. Other than one fierce shot on target which was saved by Allisson, I can't recall he did anything useful. Again, no pace. Mertens came on and immediately we have a lot of movement and flow and culminate in the Insigne goal.
We really need a better striker than Milik :-/ I love the guy but he is just not good enough on the ball. And he got robbed at gunpoint after the game :-(
What a sensational moment! Carlo gave us hope, our performance against Liverpool was very good, I just can't explain it. Were we that good or were they that bad? Klopp obviously made some errors though, Sturridge coming on in the very end, that was kind of insane. No matter, for us it is as positive as it gets, with a world class striker this squad could do wonders. I think it is now time to admit that Milik probably won't be able to do it, but I hope I'm wrong.
It was a huge win but we really just held serve. We need to take some points @ PSG and @ Liverpool. But we are very much in this thing
I've been a Verratti dickrider for a long time now - for starters I think he's the closest thing Italy has ever had to an Iniesta-lite player, and secondly to my astonishment he comes from my father's neighboring village in Abbruzzo (Lettomanopello). But even I have to admit now that the man who holds the mantle of 'best Italian player' is Lorenzo Insigne. How ironic that Verratti and Lorenzo made their fame on the same team in Pescara (the city of my family). Mazarri should be hung from a bridge in Naples for telling ADL that Verratti would never play if he was bought (ADL already had a deal for Marco prior to PSG swooping for him). Imagine those two on the same team today?
I am glad you admit. We really need a striker. I also admit Ancelotti is much better than I expected.
And ADL should be slapped for refusing Immobile for 10 million and buying Milik for 30M. We could have had the Pescara trio. On another note Mazzari also rejected Vidal for Inler. The only manager of recent times at Napoli that I don’t like.
