Do I think they have both been terrible and clealy lack the discipline to win a starting position? Yes.

The most noteworthy thing Neres did was getting kvara sold to PSG. Then he just stopped trying. But I don't blame him because no matter how good he became he could never win over his preffered position since Politano for some reason is untouchable. I still think the reason is Di Lorenzo preffering Politano (and Anguissa).

I think if Di Lorenzo picks up an injury it will free up a lot of opportunity for players like Neres to play, because we wouldn't have the defensive liability in di lorenzo. How hard can it be to play right back? I honestly think both Beukema and Marianucci should be ahead of Di Lorenzo for that position. Look at the best teams out there who use a back 4, they literally just use centerbacks as their wingbacks unless the wingback is really really good, which di lorenzo certainly is not.
