In the case of k2, Giuntoli just does what ADL tells him to.

It's a weird game that ADL is playing. He wants to sell Koulibaly and if you believe all the reports that Napoli need to sell in order to buy, he NEEDS to sell Koulibaly. He has a price in his head and he's not budging

    Same problems against Pescara.

    1. Little movement and creativity in attack
    2. Defense is easily exposed
    3. Midfield is light with Fabian and Zielinski and neither impress me

Politano is just horrible and needs to go.
Gattuso is a moron plays Luperto and Cicirretti. They are not even in our plans.

Petagna what a player and so unselfish.

    Love him already.

Luperto, Ciciretti and Palmiero were played because Napoli are shopping them

Petagna could do very well with Napoli. If he could score 12-15 goals on a team of plumbers, he could easily hit 20 in Naples if he plays with regularity.

Osimhen looked good when we played serie C teams, today not so much

    Osimhen
I had my doubts about Osimhen and they were confirmed today. He just has nothing special and when teams sit back and we don’t counter I don’t know what he adds. I saw nothing that impressed me. But if you spend 50 million (and 10 million bonuses) you expect him to be the center of your project.

    Fabian and Zielinski
They simply don’t work. We have renewed Zielinski and I also think he is the better player. I hope we sell Fabian. They cannot both play.

Neither really impresses me. They make too many mistakes but Fabian also slows the game down.

    Lozano and Politano
They just both suck. Lozano is fragile and Politano is just useless. Both need to go.

Or Luperto was a sign to the club that we need a midfielder?

Lobotka and Elmas were not used for some injury precaution. So he was short in the midfield

We need to see Osimhen play vs. top opposition in regular league games. Like I said in earlier posts, in Serie A even average defenders are well placed and don't give you room to work. He needs to adapt.

But yeah, if Osimhen flops this year, the fans will be rightly angry at the club. I won't be surprised if it's Petagna that overtakes him as a starter within the first month of the season.

Gattuso: 'Milik out, Koulibaly could stay'
    By Football Italia staff
    [IMG]

Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso confirms Arkadiusz Milik is out of the squad, but ‘Kalidou Koulibaly won’t leave unless the club gets his asking price.’

Milik was left out of today’s 4-0 friendly win over Pescara amid negotiations with Roma, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur.

“We were very clear with Milik last year, we told him that he had to renew his contract, but he refused to do so and knows our view on this,” Gattuso told Sky Sport Italia.

The Poland international’s deal only runs to June 2021, so he must leave this summer or risk going as a free agent.

“If Arek doesn’t find another club, then it won’t be an easy situation for him, because we have already signed another two forwards. There’s no room for him.”

However, Napoli are less strict with Koulibaly, who is wanted by Manchester City and PSG with negotiations dragging on for months.

“Koulibaly has a precise asking price, and if the club doesn’t get the money it is asking for, then he won’t leave.”

If Osimhen flops Guintoli needs to go out. Osimhen and Lozano have been a disaster. Not to forget Verdi, Politano, Pavoletti.

PSG, Barcelona, and Real Madrid are not interested in Zielinski. Obviously Fabian is the better player, based on the two previous seasons and international success.

But I don't think Napoli can hold to a player like Fabian in the long run.

I agree they shouldn't be paired, we get nothing out of either if they have to spend too much energy on our half of the pitch.

We are just set up wrong, tactically.

Now Milik wants to stay. Wtf.
I don't know who is responsible but he is a bigger name than Mertens, Osimhen, and Petagna.
Unfortunately, he is the worst of all of them, by far, IMO.

Season starts next week. We still don’t know who will be in the squad and what the formation will be.

We have to let it go, when arsenal comes knocking, players don't tend to chose Italien midtable teams.

We don't have any pulling power.
Only the Milano clubs and Juventus can attract bigger names.

We haven't had any pulling power since the window we signed higuain, albiol and mertens.

And yes that TV show is seriously making players not wanna live in Naples, can't blame them.

So Fio send Marco Benassi away just to play old man Borja Valero.... Italian players can’t catch a break.

We had an agreement with both player and club for Gabriel. But Napoli were stalling because of the k2 transfer and the player didn’t want to wait. (Rightly so) If Arsenal weren’t interested in Gabriel he would have still been waiting for Napoli

With new signings Amrabat and and Bonaventura there isn’t space for Benassi. I think it’s a great move for him and Verona. He replaces Pessina who returns to Atalanta

Milik is horrible because every year transfer prices go up. 5 million over 5 years where prices will have doubles is stupid.

Also Sporting game cancelled. What mismanagement. Fly the team to Portugal in this environment and not have a game. Every smart manager would have kept the team in Italy an played another Serie B team.

League starts next week. No more friendly, unclear what the squad is and what the formation will be.

Everton won in Tottenham. Played 4231 and Allan was MOTM. Bossed midfield. I watched the game and he was amazing. Meanwhile we lack midfielders.

    James looked great too.
