I kind of agree with both of you. Napoli might have been worse against 10, but still, we had been being lectured by Milan while being 11. There is no need to take away from their great performance, as there is no reason to overlook our obvious deficiencies. Not to mention that Conte is already losing his mind, and that disagreement has already begun in the squad. A CHL victory will be essential tomorrow, a loss might just be devastating.
Injuries or not, CL loss will definitely bring down pressure from ADL. I feel crap about these two losses but they aren't ones that I would look back on at the end of the season as humiliating as long as things worked out against the teams we ought to beat. ADL usually reacts more to streaks.
Sporting had mechanical issues with their aircraft, spent about 4 hours on board waiting on the tarmac and their arrival time for Naples is 11pm, so they'll go straight to the hotel, no rest or stadium tours. Every inch helps.
Reports say that Conte is going to rest De Bruyne, and we might see our good ol' 4-3-3 back in action.
Yes, that is what I was saying, but was told I shouldn't put my penis into anthills or sth. No idea why, been doing that my whole life and I have not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.
But srsly now, they are not just bad, but terrible. Anguissa is just randomly hitting the ball with no power just to get rid of it asap. Not sure if I gave ever seen a group of men play this bad, anywhere, any age, any league
Dont know where to start. I think the main problem is the way we attack when Lukaku isnt playing. When Lukaku isnt playing we need someone in midfield who can unlock a defence, today KDB is on the bench. Neres is a liability, especially on the left side where the forward inside passing is akward becuase he has to do them with his weak foot, I wouldnt be surprised if Conte takes him out. I don't agree, I think he should be moved to RW and only play in that position going forward. The way Genoa play I would bring on KDB and Lucca and go to a 352
Lukaku going down really messed things up. Boungiorno not staying healthy messed things up… anyways I’m positive things will improve.
Hopefully they will improve already tonight, against one of the only 4 teams with 0 victories this season.
For the first half, never. Overall, every game is either a loss or a lucky win... Sporting almost got a draw at the last minute as well. We are far from convincing.
“I repeat. This will be a complex season. At the same time. We must have the spirit to face it because I’m convinced this season will serve as a foundation for the future. We are building from scratch; there were no foundations before.” Why does this guy keep talking like he has taken over Hellas Verona or sth? Like we have never actually shown great skill in ChL. I am not saying we are the thing in CHL, but if he keeps talking like this, he might not actually take unhealthy pressure off the lads's shoulders, but rather take away the healthy belief that a team like ours can actually play well. With all this talk about how we can't do shit after every game, might they not just give up subconsciously beforehand?
I think we are being way too hard on this team. Things could be worse we could be like Juve with a complete lack of direction.
I said nothing about the team. I was mentioning that Conte seems to be extremely reluctant to analyze his own mistakes, and turns to alibism for salvation. He keeps saying that the players cannot be expected to do much, as if we did not invest anything at all on the market. I just do not like the attitude, the team is fine. But this rhetoric saying that we are weak after every game is getting a bit too repetitive and lame. Nobody is shouting or anything, but we need to look at the fact that we have won most of the games with nothing but luck so far, and if we neglect to address that, acting like it is normal to never win a game calmly, we might just start losing game after game due to bad luck.
