Is it done deal? I'm partial to Sarri. He can win the league if he has the right support. Italiano might not be at that stage where he can win the league, but he's still a very good manager and I'd welcome him no less. #Atalanta are pushing to sign Maurizio #Sarri as new coach. Offered a contract until 2029 with a salary of €3,5M/year. Cristiano #Giuntoli could have a key-role in the deal. #transfers https://t.co/OKuSk7ap6y— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) May 20, 2026
TBT I'm not happy about losing Conte. I think a number of players got upset because they wanted to protect themselves during a World Cup year, but there's no mistaking that Conte over did it since last season. Putting all the pettiness and bullshit aside, it came down to increasing costs, at great risk of the club's financial stability, and players looking out for their own well being, whereas Conte pushed his players too hard for the sake of winning at all costs. Several times Conte blamed the schedule and said playing in Europe created its own challenges. It meant enlarging the squad and thus the wage bill, which puts the club in a situation where it must qualify again for Europe in order to afford the larger squad. That basically meant prioritizing the league performance and trying to save some face in Europe. I don't think he's wrong because all of Serie A struggled horrendously in Europe. Atalanta went the furthest and were humiliated against Bayern. Inter were humiliated against Bodo. Napoli humiliated in the group stages, suffering the most humiliating loss of all to PSV. Conte gets a lot of flack for his overall lacking performances in Europe, but Serie A as a whole is well behind the standards of play that PSG, Bayern, EPL clubs, Real and Barca can play. There's little sense pretending Serie A teams can keep up with them. Financially, Serie A is falling too far behind. I also think a number of signings were simply undercooked. Buongiorno, Lucca aren't bad footballers, but they weren't ready yet. Lang was a gamble given his past conduct, despite his talents. I'm big fan of KdB, but he has been plagued by injury issues and at his age, the risk of him getting injured meant he was a big gamble on his wages. These players cost Napoli in the end. Buongiorno always had a costly mistake in him. Lucca looked completely out of his depths. Lang couldn't get along with Conte. These things were predictable in my view, but if Lukaku and Rrahmani were fit and available, if Napoli could have signed Garnacho, how would the season have played out? I think Napoli would have put in a much stronger title run, maybe have won it, and Conte would still be here.
Hmm, nobody is reacting to my intelligence, I fear you all might have detected by now that I am a deranged alcoholic. Well, to be honest, you are not far from wrong, you bunch of sorry ass birches. Let your roots be deep and healthy, because I am neither. But I can tell you one thing. This suki from fast and furious has a point, we need to invest more money in alcoholics, because they are the future of Italy. Italy has been doing well for as long as their players were smoking and drinking in the shower like real men do, and with their drunken spirit they were able to compete with the best. But now that that is over, and emulation has replaced authenticity, we can see that it is harder to win when you are not yourself, than it is when you are free to be whatever you want to be, and you might just be the best of the best.
Gays, just one quick thought, what if you were all homosexuals, and I was the only man left here who was right?
Conte probably spiked Santos's beer before the game, to make sure the injuries won't stop once he leaves.
U could see kdb putting 2700 layers of tape on before getting on. Conte must have killed them in his last training
And that is how you play to Hojlund’s strengths, not all this Lukaku 2.0 bullshit that conte wants to impose. can KDB become our next manager please?
God that was a nice goal, KdB ftw. I really hope he wants to stay for one more season, and I am wonderfully open to Sarri being the coach. In spite of all the shite, I am glad that Conte is a man who though he might not be to my liking, has shown himself to be a good man by not wanting to rip us off in the end, but rather appreciate his experience with us.
These penalties not given to Hojlund after he’s putting clumsy defenders in his dust is getting ridiculous
Lobotka going down is so ironic, that I kinda believe they are doing it on purpose. Like, fk it, I am going to hobble off and just get drunk tonight at home with my wife and 2 kids.
At the start of the season, I thought Napoli or Roma had serious title shouts. Next season, I think Roma can build, but Inter still ahead of everyone else. Not sure what to make of Napoli until the new coach is hired.
