I just don’t like the idea of changing out coaches… I want this damn team to grow and we can’t grow changing a coach every 2 years.

 

Still, he cannot be worse than whatever the fck it was we were seeing the last couple of games ..

 

Neither do I, brother, but this is also not going very well, tbh. Though I am all for giving him another season, but he could at least once admit he is fallible...

I’m tired of over analyzing this team right now. Time gives better perspective. We can all be thankful of what Conte did last year. But that is his maximum. We’re not going to do better than that. He cannot manage two comps at once. He cannot turnover the squad. He cannot balance the formations to where things make sense. He probably overtrains them to a point where they don’t give their all during actual games. He cannot make our offensive talents play better. He has hit his ceiling. Watching Napoli under Conte is a chore even in games where we win.

 

Perhaps conte should rub KDBs hamstrings??

Now the table is almost as it should be, I would just put Bologna and Juventus higher, and us to the 6th, based on performances. Based on those, we need to expect Como to get there as well, probably.

The only positive thing is that Conte has finally publicly admitted what we were seeing and saying. The negativr thing is that he has been trying to fix it this whole time, and it has been going from bad to worse this whole time.

The story is that Conte called ADL last night and threatened to resign. They scheduled emergency talks for today.

 

If he does this he will never be at a top team again. He got everything he wanted over the summer.

According to “insiders” Conte did quit but ADL rejected his resignation. ADL refuted the story saying it’s a fantasy.

Honestly we should keep Conte. I dont want him personally, but thats mostly because I just dont like him. But you gotta give it to the man, 1 scudetto and still an okay placement in the table with CL still a chance.

The reason to keep him is to let him see this thing out. Mainoo is joining in January while Casado is also keen. Let Conte build his team. These players would not have joined if Conte wasnt the manager.

Conte needs to relax again, he is a much better manager when he is avoiding his bipolar tendencies.

Maybe the national break is just what he and the players need.

 

I also think next season will be different since there is a lot of talk amongst the referees protecting diving defenders, ruining the flow of Italian football.

So many points have been left on the table because of defending players barely getting touched diving to the floor and taking 1 min every time. This has cost Napoli imo at least 5 points.

Another point that pi55ed me off is how it feels like Serie A want Inter to win it. They gotta pay off their debt somehow. Lukemi getting free freekicks from hojlund touching his shoulder while lukemi drops to the floor holding his face. Meanwhile Lautaro commits a legimate freekick by pushing a defender in the back for Inter's 2-0 goal and that (obvious) faul wasnt given.

Inter are a much better team atm - why would they need this extra (and quite obvious) help from the refs.

Is the league still corrupt? How do we talk other football fans into watching this shite, when theres a break in play every minute from a defender or goalkeeper diving?

 

Because if you reflect on the Bologna game, what is conte meant to do?
Even when Ferguson commits a clear technical faul, doesnt get booked, no no he actually got the fukn freekick his way and Bologna scored to 2-0.
Also every time we managed to succeed with Conte's offensive tactic at passing it up to hojlund with hojlund holding on to it, somehow somewhere on the pitch, a defender randomly fell over and Bologna were given another freekick.

Im not saying conte deserved a win, or even points, neither am I saying he set up his team well. Im just saying whatever he tried it was immediately shutted down by the ref

 

Agree with most, but the 'still a chance in the CHL' part is kind of funny. I mean, yeah, there still is a chance, but I am not even sure if it can be called that.

But I am all here for it, but I kinda feel like this team is terrible to say the least. Srsly they lack that something that you even feel when watching a Juventus game...

 

I don’t like the bullshit that is coming out. Lobo”s agent is making shit up or our players have a loser mentality.

If our players have that mentality then I understand Conte’s desire to leave because you can beat a donkey all you want for not being a horse but that will never change the fact that it’ll always be a donkey.
