Italiano would have been a nice option to of had at the end of last season but he is building something nice at Bologna.

I am okay with a Conte who can change. Being stubborn and refusing to see facts does not help anyone, not even him, and worst of all, he is hurting the players.

 

We dont have the players to do better. We dont even have the players to pass a ball into acres of space before we go 1-0 down, knowing hojlund can outrun any of Bologna's CBs. Instead we think Hojlund (and Luca) are Lukaku, so they need to drop down to leave space for our true centerforward to run into that space: di ********ing Lorenzo.

I dont know which deal Conte made with our captain to get him to stay, but I think it has do to with him being the main guy in attack. His level is an extra defender at best, he shouldn't be allowed past the halfway line imo.

Yeah today was bad I was hoping with that core guys back from injury things would improve. Though Bologna isn’t a scrub team anymore they got a real ownership, sporting director, and growth project.

Politano is working his pants off doing an impossible task with way too much asked of just 1 guy. I dont even like politano.
The guy has to cover for di lorenzo 10/10 times, make sure the team gets out of pressure, also orchestra the attacks, and while doing all that he is expected to be forward when the team is attacking.
Its too much.

The burden would be lessened on politano if Conte just benches di lorenzo for half the matches and play Marianucci instead.

 

Maybe, but benching Neres, who has so far always been dangerous at least, and giving him 20 minutes in a game like this, is blasphemous.

 

I also don’t understand why we aren’t playing Neres as a the false 9 again… that showed so much promise…

 

I was hoping for a tough game, but expecting another sh*t game, to be honest.

I never said I hated our loss to PSV, what I hated was what it was foreshadowing... We can only hope there is a stop to thi,s, but for that, Conte will have to take his head out of his ass.

 

Neres will not cover for di lorenzo, neres will lose the ball in bulld up, neres might not even do well in his 1v1, leaving him 100% unimpactful. If you want Neres di Lorenzo has to go, its that simple.
Also Neres has never really recovered from his last injury and lost much of his speed.
