So far we are getting what we paid for. The ultras seem to think we already have won it. It's looking pretty good right at the moment but the seasons just begun, plenty of time for a meltdown. The only thing we have against Juve is their crowded schedule, and maybe they care more about CL than the scudetto. They'll probably go through with just one loss.
Our biggest strength is that we’re not playing in Europe. Which is a dream for Conte because he thrives on preparation. I have to say that Conte’s ability to break out of his tactical philosophy is what has impressed me the most. He was always the type to insist the players have to adapt to him. And now he is a lot more loose in regards to formation
I think Juve are doing great and are on the right path. They’re still a very new team but you can tell things are going in the right direction. Whether or not that will carry them to a trophy this year, I don’t know. But this is what happens when you reset the team and start a new project. Inter should win the title this year. But like I said, the fact that we only have a game a week might work in our favour
The lady who interviewed mctominay after the game, lukaku too. What is her name? More importantly is she on Instagram??
Lukaku is requesting not to be called up for Belgium this window. Possibly the rest of the year. Como offering free beer to Napoli fans in the return leg. I'm sure no one will regret that.
These international breaks have got to be stopped. Do we really need 10+ international matches per year?
It's too much football on club level, too. Do we need 38 league games? 2 domestic cups? I think reduce all major leagues to 18 teams max (maybe less) and 1 domestic cup. Wenger is right that there should be a 2 month window of internationals, better between now to December. Allows for Afcon, Asian Cup, World Cup (?), and all qualifiers without complaint. *** We are too dependent on Lobo. Need others to step up. He's not Pirlo. We ought to be able to cope.
The realistic fix as I see it is to get rid of as many games as possible that don't generate enough money. Nations League is a great alternative to national friendlies, and I hope that in the future it also replaced EURO qualifying games in some way, since no one wants to watch Italy play San Marino twice in a year. It is a pointless football game, like 80% of all euro qualification games. I don't even mind a club world cup, since it makes sense on paper, I just mind FIFA is running it making up rules as they go along to bring in star names. Cup games are intended for teams in the sub leagues to go against the big clubs once or twice a season, I don't think we should get rid of these since they have already been optimised so top tier teams don't have to play a dozen of games a year. I don't think enough people are pointing fingers at UEFA for literally inventing new matches without getting rid of old ones, like the aforementioned Nations League combined with EURO qualifications and the increase of matches in the champions league, etc. So yeah we have problems on both club level and national, the solution should be the most economically feasible one, which is to get rid of the matches no one wants to watch. Because let's be honest, everyone involed just want more money, whether it be the owners or the players.
