Garcia is not the right man for this team. We need Conte who will put the fear of god Into this team.
How can anyone put this on Garcia is beyond me, especially this game. Should have won it easily, but it is a draw in spite of a penalty.
Bad result. Penalty goal or not, we are not clicking. The 442-443 hybrid with Rasp on the right was not working offensively.
I praise Garcia for preparing the team this well in spite of a lack of defensive opportunities. It is not his fault that while Luciano had players that scored goals just because he put them somewhere on the pitch, he has players who would not have scored goals had you put them right on the line of the opposition's goal with the ball at their feet and the other team just watching.
Bad PK, and that type of reaction when subbed off is not good. This frustration will lead to more issues if not contained.
You can see that the team has no composure now. The coach will take the blame, even though it started last season and he has barely had time to work, plus key players simply aren't there. That is football, the sooner he is replaced the better, at least all this bullshit will stop, or rather, start with someone else...
Aside from the Matchday 1 when Milan brushed past them, Bologna have been a tough match for every other team.
I know that. But in here, the coach is the only thing that exists. It is as if the players were not even there. Some people here believe that coach's are actually playing PS. The only thing I don't like about Garcia for real are some of the choices. Raspadori today, and taking off Osimhen so late. I mean, I can see why when I consider the reaction to the substitution, but I still would have taken him off earlier. Same goes for Kvara. This way, we will end up both ineffective and tired as hell.
RE: Conte Probably been written here already, don't know. But 2 Months into any possible tenure at Napoli he would be bemoaning about the lack of spending. Does it everywhere he goes. Always goes to where he thinks are greener pastures. Every flippin Press Conference he went on about needed 2 or 3 more Transfer Windows to get a good squad. I followed his tenure at Spurs closely and what was being said about him. It was a great honeymoon period but he wore out his welcome soon thereafter. His exit at Tottenham was shameful the way he disrespected the club like that. They sold Kane to FCB for a pretty penny and despite this, Ange has them undefeated so far. Kulusevki (ex Parma & Juve) even made the comment about how attack-minded they are compared to before (was aimed at Conte). Serie A doesn't have the riches of the PL and ADL strikes me as a bigger penny pincher than Daniel Levy which is saying something. Maybe you guys are missing Chucky more than you think you are. Truth of the matter is, until Kvara gets his head out his backside, send him to a shrink or a hooker, who knows, Napoli will be battling for 2nd Place like the rest of us.
Had the same thought about Lozano. But the factors are many, though there will be only one everywhere.
On to Udinese, the first real test of the season. No one could consider them good. Must win. == What's up with Lecce? I was under the impression that D'Aversa was definitely a bad coach.
You don't just figure out someone like that. You contain him, and he's been contained. It's up to the coach to figure out how he can get him isolated with the opposing right back
Jury's out on Garcia, it can be discussed how different he is from spalletti but the results have not been convincing. Though I prefer spalletti I personally don't think he is much better. Garcia is lining up the same way and trying the same things - what didn't work last season is not working this season, now we just don't have a balon d'or CB on the roster. I think Spallettis Napoli is tactically overrated, much was down to stand out phenomenal performances from certain players. If Garcia sorts out the defence it will be hard to differentiate whether it's Spallettis or Garcias Napoli out there...here I'm talking about the Napoli team spalletti left behind I never was wowed by Spalletti and I'm not wowed by Garcia either. Not since Sarri has a Napoli coach impressed me.
No one ever believed Spalletti will have won last year. As I recall reading the threads, everyone wanted both he and ADL out. Honestly, no offense to Napoli fans but what did anyone expect to happen this year? It is difficult enough to defend the scudetto for any team but did anyone truly believe Napoli would win the scudetto two years in a row? It was a miracle that they won it last year. It’s early and they are still doing well so anything can happen but if you aren’t Juventus, Inter or Milan, you will never win a scudetto in consecutive years. That isn’t coming from me just look at the history and it’s been the same thing for the last 90-100 years.
The only point I'll add is Serie A is weaker. Theoretically, someone can dominate, like Juventus did for nearly a decade until Agnelli ran afoul with ESL. That said, ADL is unwilling to invest taking on those risks. I don't think he trusts there will be honest races. I still have some faith in Garcia. We must be encouraged by Atleti's win yesterday. I believe we can beat Real comfortably. Our problem isn't we can't create chances. We aren't putting them away. Weak defense is not good, but we can outscore to win if we start putting chances away. If things continue like this, though, not only will Garcia be sacked, but key players like Osimhen will more than likely have to sold in January.
Every team should seek reinforcements especially if you wish to compete in both Europe and the scudetto race but it's not as easy as it sounds. Everyone wants to beat the champion and Napoli won't have an easy go of it this year. Inter so far looks unbeatable and again, it is still early but if Napoli finish in a CL spot, that will have been a positive.
