Maybe some forwards on the field in the second half would help.

What exactly does a coach have to do with a team like RM? They concede a hard fought-for goal, only to equalize like this:"Ou I'll just push this little guy a little bit, run through the field, then shoot and score, easy." We need to attack, but we still made it too easy for them...

    Fire Mazzarri!!!! LOL

Defense was horrible, and the chance to go in front was the 3v2 ending with a brutal pass by Kvara.

I believe Braga needs to beat us at home by two or more goals to qualify, otherwise Napoli to round of 16.

Yeah, weaker RM than before, and we did not do half as well, to be honest. With Rudi, we basically would not have lost, had our captain kept his cool. Actually, in the 1st RM game I felt like we were able to finally play these teams with our heads held high, in spite of the fact that our best players were dejected and out of form.

Today it was again clearly visible who was the boss, and who the b...

Real Madrid are top of their group with a 100 per cent record after five games and were able to keep going despite missing eight first team players.

    Sounds even worse...

They also have three times our payroll. Buys a lot of redundancies even if the players were the same caliber.

That foul that injured Zielinski was straight red all day. Criminal Rudiger got away with that especially because he injured someone with his malice and VAR. Rudiger goes off there as he should have and the game could've been different

Good performance but RM are just better when when it counts.
Zielinski, raspadori and anguissa's passing were horrendous today, there is no room for that at this level. We talk about keepers or defenders making mistakes, but that can most of the times be credited to the opponent team being successful with their plan, however when your offensive players can't make a simple 10 yard pass you have a long way to go. It's funny how class players like kvaratskhelia, lobotka and to some extend osimhen or any of the real madrid players don't suffer from this "problem".

We must also accept Meret is close to Serie B level.

We lost today due to difference in quality, I didn't see many tactical errors I can blame Mazzarri for - I thought we stood okay on the pitch and it was down to RM's quality and Meret's inability that made the obvious difference.

Meret has had two really bad games against Madrid. The first one might have impacted his ability to play well in the second. I don't have any basis to say that Gollini would have been better enough to win either game though.

There are five teams that I don't think we're in the same class as this year. A victory against any of them would be a season defining accomplishment, and Madrid is #2 on that list.

Meret slipped up after keeping the game a draw with 2 spectacular stops, so it's hard for me to lay all the blame there. What I saw was a team lost in defending, especially in structure. First half strategy of lobbing crosses to a lone Simeone up front was horrible.

To be truthful, this team looked sharper in the first match, and only a brain dead pass by the Captain was their undoing.

What are the 5 teams? I’m guessing: Man City, Real Madrid, Inter, and Bayern are 4 of them. What’s the fifth? Barcelona or Atletico maybe?

    1. City, 2. Madrid, 3/4. Barca and Bayern, 5 is Inter. Any other team we may or may not beat, but a victory wouldn't be a shock. Even from 3 down I don't know if it would be worse than 25% chance.

I think Inter is better than Barcelona. Not sure about Bayern.

Also I think Real Madrid is number 1 this season! They’ve improved a lot with Bellingham. And with Vinicius back at full squad, I think they’re the best.

Man City is number 2 since they lost Gundogan. De Bruyne is also aging and past his prime.

    Inter/Bayern tied for 3 and 4.

    5 is Barcelona.

There's definitely an argument to be made that they're vulnerable on short turnarounds. I don't know if that is a depth issue or injuries, I don't really watch La Liga.

They don’t have much depth, and also Xavi is not a great coach. They have some promising talent but lack chemistry, and have some defense issues as well. Barcelona has honestly been a very questionable team since Neymar and Enrique left. They just have never been the same since then, and Messi leaving did them absolutely no favors either. Take a look at the Barcelona forum. Their fans have been complaining a lot.

Also, I think Bayern is kind of overrated a bit as well. Definitely a Top Team, but they are just too predictable and don’t always have a game plan. The chemistry is there and is pretty good, but the thing is if Plan A doesn’t work out, they get lost and don’t always know how to respond, and kind of rely too much on individual brilliance. I feel like they aren’t managed super well. Tuchel is definitely NOT an elite manager like people say he is.

I mean, does that not prove quite obviously that football contains more elements than just tactics? In the 1st game, we faced legends like Modric, and we really did seem like a team that can beat their asses. We were maybe missing a bit of experience, an element that we simply cannot compete with RM in.

In the 2nd game, we seemed to lack the whole spectrum. We were terrible when it comes to counterattacks, we showed inexperience, lack of confidence/quality/will power/enthusiasm/gayness, and naivety.

It is still also obvious that our stars lack confidence and ease. Kvara is still a great asset, but it is not the same player. The curved pass he provided against RM is still top-notch, but those power shots hitting the defender, or those dribbles that involved basically just running into the defender, happen all too often this season.

If bad tactics mean a game like we played against a stronger RM team, while good tactics mean a game like the later one, then fire the coach. Let us hire a BBC pornstar and coach our boys naked, scare them with rape threats before every game to make them forget about all the deficiencies listed above. I am pretty sure a big ass cock will make them forget about all those mind troubles, and they will fight on the pitch like the warriors we want them to be.

    Who's with me!?

Winning in Madrid was always a tough ask. The time to beat them was at home and we blew it.
