I was wondering if people had any interesting ideas for nicknames for the possible DCU/Freedom stadium...if it actually gets built?

Figure it will have a sponsorship name, but I was thinking along the nicknames side...

    ideas:

"The River" (assuming it gets build along the river as has been recently theorized)

    "The Eagle's Nest"

Others I've heard thrown around before regarding previous stadium proposals: The District, Capitol Street

    any other ideas?

seriously, any new stadium near the RFK location should be just a smaller and newer model of RFK. the covered wavy roof needs to be replicated. but there's no need for baseball dugouts.

    Call it "PC Place."

I just think it's so MOVING that DCU and Freedom are going to SHARE. Because that's what life is all about, isn't it?

    Have a good day. :)

    Darkness!!!
if it was built in Lot 8, it would technically be on Independence Avenue SE. That could lead to some great names.

anyone think of any good political figures to name the stadium after?
