Each team in the MFl has teams they hate. Teams that you make you work differently throughout the week prior to the game. lets name them.. América: Chivas/Pumas/Cruz Azul Atlante: America Atlas: Chivas/America Chivas: America/Atlas/Cruz Azul Cruz Azul: America/Pumas Gallos Blancos: Not long enough to establish one Irapuato: Leon*/Celaya*/America Jaguares: TOO YOUNG FOR RIVALRIES Monterrey: Tigres/America Morelia: America/Televisa Necaxa: America Pachuca: America Puebla: America Pumas: America/Cruz Azul San Luis: TOO YOUNG RIVALRIES Santos: America/Chivas Tecos: Chivas Tigres: Monterrey/America Toluca: America Veracruz: America/Chivas * = regulated or folded back in Horacio Casarin's days, Atlante and Necaxa used to be the beggest rivalry. Necaxa went broke and did not exist and the rivalry died missing anything?? 2nd division teams from the same state usually have some intense ones as well.. not all of them.. but some. Ive seen some of the lower division games in the state of Veracruz and they were fun
I think Pachuca´s rival are more Cruz Azul and now Tigres. C.Azul- Pachuca were both from Hidalgo and the Tigres final have made the game bigger. I know many hate America but I think its exagerated. I don´t consider Veracruz-America or Monterrey- America to big that big of a deal. Irapuato- America? Also the Toluca- Atlas is as big a rivalry as many of those America games. Tecos true rival was U de G.
