    For dcsiouxfan:
one more clue about that song that is right on the edge of your brain but you just can't get it:

Hang a sign up on the door
    That says *************

The ********* is the title of the song. If you can't get it this time, I got to give it up.

    Ok, here it is, man:

Hang the sign up on the door
    That says
    DON'T DISTURB THIS GROOVE
Just a way to say that
    I"m so into you
    And the feeling's so real
    Don't disturb this groove

"Don't Disturb This Groove" by an 80s r&b duo called The System, a big "crossover" hit

    I. "...It doesn't work a bit without a can of Nu-Nile..."

II. "...Alone in apartment she'd dwell, 'til the man of her dreams comes to break the spell..."

III. "...quiet fills the room, and your love flows through me..."

    1) And as I hung up the phone, it occured to me / He'd grown up just like me; my boy was just like me

    2) Follow me now and you will not regret / leaving the life you led before we met / you are the first to have this love of mine / forever with me till the end of time

Bonus point: what band covered both of the above songs?

I knew this one!! Serves me right for not checking in on this thread for a few days.

Here's another one from an 80's one hit wonder:

"walking on the water/walking on the air/ that was the heart of the love we share"

Yes, it is Harry Chapin's "Cats In The Cradle", it was covered by Ugly Kid Joe, who also covered song #2:

Follow me now and you will not regret / leaving the life you led before we met / you are the first to have this love of mine / forever with me till the end of time

    Here's an additional lyrical clue:
Look into my eyes you'll see who I am / my name is Lucifer, please take my hand

    Any guesses?

Sorry, once you said Lucifer, all that I'm coming up with is "Sympathy For the Devil", and I know that's not right.
