Re: Too tough - How about 17? seconded as begin the begin came to a raucous close that first listen, i knew my world was changing
Did they plan it that way? It actually means "True Love". Anyway, they put out a couple of double b-sides, a couple of 12" singles, an E.P. called The Reptile House (a brilliant piece of work) and practically broke up before the Album even hit the stores.
The EP's the Sisters Of Mercy released in the mid to late 80's are amazing, their version of the Rolling Stones "Gimme Shelter" is one of my favourites. I once saw them open for Black Flag at the Ritz in NYC. Strangest show I was ever at.
Re: Too tough - How about 17? Funny thing is, I got intrigued by the album because of "Superman." But Side 1 of the tape blew me away. Remember tapes?
s/t? Now fleck, don't get me wrong, that CD has a good number of songs and everything, but do you actually rate it higher than 40 oz. to freedom?
Its close. I chose Sublime cuz 40 oz. has a lot more songs, and Sublime is a lot "cleaner" sounding. Plus I can listen to Sublime straight through without wanting to skip any songs...
Re: Too tough - How about 17? Murmur or Reckoning was probably my favorite until... A fitting note for Bill to end his career on.
I'll third REM's Life's Rich Pageant though there are about 1/2 dozen other of their albums who are close. Dylan's Bootleg Series is almost too much for me too handle and Radiohead's OK Computer
