that is the kind of shit that will haunt players for a long time. Ajax had equal if not better chances at 2-2.

i feel for those guys but they watched it slip away

Someone should post the score in every non-related thread for @jnielsen

These Ajax players wont sleep for months. Serious PTSD after that.

I can see Poch winning this and moving to Barca and be successful for next 10 years whilst we keep changing managers.

With Spuds, you look at their often squad players in Son and Moura and the desire they give when they play. Then you look at those such as Erikson and Alderweireld who are coming to the end of their contracts and they give their all.

Then you compare them to our lightweight moaners such as Martial and Pogs and it shows that aptitude is nothing without attitude.

Saf would specifically target players with the right mentality, we should start doing this again.

Poch will NEVER go to Barca. He's a former Espanyol manager and he's already clearly said as much I believe, more than once. He'd obviously be a great fit though.
Barca in my opinion should turn to ten Hag: despite what happened today, he's shown he's a pretty good coach overall and his philosophy is right in line with the Barca school.

let's not pretend he's been good enough overall please.

he's been OK in the league and that's it. he came up trumps tonight fair enough, but don't make it out like he's a world beater all of a sudden

And Sir Matt Busby played for both Liverpool and City. Poch isn't Spanish to really care about that.

    https://www.skysports.com/football/...pochettino-says-he-will-never-coach-barcelona

He's Argentinian, which is the next best (or worst, however you choose to look at it) thing when it comes to passion and loyalty. He'll never coach Barca, just as I'd never see him coach any other top team in England, except for United (because of his deep rooted admiration for SAF).

Poch said earlier today that he was offered the chance to manage Real Madrid and although he wanted it, Levy refused to release him and Poch said he will not break his contract (that he signed less than a year ago) as it goes against his values.

If he wont break it for RM then people are being fanciful to think he would break it for us or Barca.

Scouse beat Spuds twice this season with Kane playing. I'm not subjecting myself to the fcking final.

When you think that Poch has done this with virtually zero financial support from the club. The guy's got ton of leverage and he deserves it honestly.

I'll be the first to admit that Moura has been an unexpected surprise this season as far as I'm concerned: 10 league goals, 5 in the CL (with just 2 assists total) is not a bad return for Spurs this season. And he hasn't been a lockdown starter either. But he's come up at key moments for them this year and his performances can not be summarily dismissed. That's well worth the 25mil Ps they paid for him...

    Agree, probs wont watch either.

Its Liverpools to lose really, their biggest enemies are Klopps record, which although funny you kinda feel has to end soon and of course there is their second big enemy VAR :)

We could be set for another manager merry go round this summer. The rumors about Allegri leaving Juve are not going away. PSG and Barca are said to be interested. Not entirely sure I buy the Barca talk: he's a good coach and tactician but he does not fit the Barca mould (unless he can alter his style I suppose).
Wouldn't be the biggest surprise to see PSG going in another direction than Tuchel (although I believe that would be a mistake on their part). And if Allegri goes, then who to replace him at Juve: Conte to return perhaps?
Can't forget about Mourinho either, I guess: he'll be in line fill one of vacancies.

Poch to Barca makes too much sense for me, if he wins the CL. Something out of a movie script. Wasn't aware he was that closely tied to Espanyol to turn down speculation in March. Money talks though, so we will see.
