Franck Ribery has announced he will be leaving Bayern at the end of this season. Done very well with them and safe to say he's probably a club legend there now. 🗞️ @FranckRibery will not extend his contract with #FCBayern, and will leave this summer.Thank you for everything, Franck. ❤️#MiaSanMia, forever 👑 pic.twitter.com/QNOwpFJ9tF— FC Bayern Munich (@FCBayernEN) May 5, 2019 With Robben leaving as well, it's definitely the end of an era at Bayern.
I'm imagine Ribery will head back to France to finish out his career. He's still good enough to tear it up in that league depending on where he goes. It would be cool to see him return to Marseille.
Luiz and Loftus-Cheek have scored back to back goals for Chelsea (both with assists from Hazard). Even Higuaín gets on the scoresheet now. 3-0 Chelsea.
You could say we've almost always shared it with Arsenal. Just completely different circumstances now. Pizzagate The Battle of OT Europainful
Him and Robben are some of my favorite players of this era. Both still have plenty to give the game if their bodies can cooperate.
The playoffs for the Championship are set and it will be Villa vs WBA and Derby vs Leeds. First legs will be next Saturday, with the return legs taking place the following Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. Hoping Villa are the ones who make it up personally.
Now if either chelsea or Arsenal win EL, will that affect us any way? Not that I want us anywhere near CL with this team.
There can be only 5 English teams max in the CL. We're out regardless of whether Arsenal or Chelsea win it. What could affect us now is the FA Cup final: if Watford were to win it, we'd have to compete in the EL qualification rounds, with games taking place as early as the end of the July (when we are supposed to be on tour btw). The possible permutations in full... ℹ️ Chelsea will play in the Champions League next seasonℹ️Tottenham need a point to confirm qualification ℹ️ If Spurs lose, Arsenal would have to win & turn around an 8 goals worse GD (or win the Europa League)ℹ️ Man Utd will play in the Europa League next season pic.twitter.com/D57F72JxzS— Sky Sports Statto (@SkySportsStatto) May 5, 2019
When your hopes of top four are hanging by a thread...It is not a pretty picture on the #AFC bench!Watch live on Sky Sports Premier League or follow in-game clips and highlights here: https://t.co/ae9dwtS6hh pic.twitter.com/owhQMVXm9T— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) May 5, 2019 We're not alone, but at least they still have hope and the backdoor of the EL to hang onto for CL qualification...
Welbeck is gonna be a free agent in the summer. Hope he finds a good home. Leicester/Newcastle/Southampton probably a good level for him.
Aaron Ramsey fought back tears as he said goodbye to Arsenal's fans 😢 pic.twitter.com/Xoj4WSym2b— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) May 5, 2019 Aaron Ramsey is about to get paid at Juve, but he's been a prime example of what a perfect pro is, with the way he played and behaved with Arse this season. True care for a club, as shown by his reaction today. Always liked him (was bummed when he snubbed us way back). Still wish him nothing but the best at Juve though and hope he tears it up in Serie A.
There aren't many players like Rammer nowadays it's that simple really. And it's part of the reason why I hope he makes it in Italy. That and because there haven't been many British players who have succeeded abroad (there have been more of late, young players especially in the Bundesliga) in recent years. Depending on how he is on his return, it's a door that Welbz should not close for himself IMO: the football, as mentioned in Serie A, is much slower than it is in the Prem and it could be a good fit to him.
Arsenal have now conceded 50 or more goals in consecutive top-flight campaigns for the first time since 1982-83 and 1983-84.❌ pic.twitter.com/JVQvQdbUQH— Football Tweet ⚽ (@Football__Tweet) May 5, 2019
Salah and Firmino are officially out of the return game vs Barca. https://www.skysports.com/football/...ools-champions-league-semi-final-vs-Barcelona Their chance were pretty minimal going in and have taken even a bigger hit now.
Were in no position to laugh at any of our main rivals this season. We've had the worst season from any of the big 6. Period.
If this goes on we would either won't be in big six or would have to change the name to big eight or ten.
