N. Korea Says Sure of Winning Nuclear War with U.S. SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean state radio said on Monday that victory is certain for the communist state in any nuclear war with the United States thanks to Pyongyang's "army-first" political system. "Victory in a nuclear conflict will be ours and the red flag of army-first politics will flutter ever more vigorously," said the broadcast, reported by South Korea (news - web sites)'s Yonhap news agency. "Our victory is certain and the future ever more radiant," it said, touting the dominance of the army in the world's most heavily militarized society. The million strong Korean People's Army is the world's fifth-largest.
This is just absurd. Hypothetically if we did go to Nuclear War, with N. Korea, there wouldn't be a N. Korean (or a S. Korean for that matter) alive to talk about it. They would all be glowing green. Even if we cede the fact that N. Korea could reach our West Coast cities, the East Coast is not even within range. I have to applaud the Bushies though for at least starting the missile defense system. It needs to be done.
Eh, North Korea is just blackmailing us. They know us better than we think. I don't believe we're in any danger from NK, neither is anyone else. They know their country will be turned into a cinder if they attack anyone; they've known it for 50 years.
Indeed. Anyone against it isn't serious about national defense, which unfortuantely includes about 80% of my fellow Democrats.
It's posturing...although I wouldn't put it past the DPRK to do something stupid one day. This is two school kids in a yard both stading up to each other, and one talking a big talk to the other in an attempt to scare him out of the fight. This will work until one kid insults the others mother and then proceeds to get his ass handed to him. N. Korea isn't stupid, they know they would be destroyed in a war against the US, but they can't show even the hint of fear to their people. It's government controlled propoganda, but that's what N. Korea is all about.
Oh puhleaase. Since when does silly crap like that even warrant notice? This topic took up at least 300 bytes that would have made the page load about .5 second faster, you bandwidth-hogging nitwit.
