My vote for this one has to be Donovan. Just finished watching the DC-SJ game and his attitude is poor.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he does get fouled a lot and he's probably tired after a great performance in the US-Mex game on Weds night and Saturday's game.

On the other hand, he's been pretty whiny and demanding for calls in the other SJ games I've seen this season.

During the 80ish minute, he was fouled and stayed on the ground waiting for a call for what seemed like almost a minute. Not the coolest thing to do.

Who else do people see as MLS's biggest crybaby?

They come in a close third:

behind (1) MLS fans that whine about players whining, (2) and people that whine about those persons who choose to whine about fans who opt to whine about players that whine...

and just ahead of (4) SABuffalo.

While i'm in a whiny mood... my stupid VCR decided not to tape the 6 - 1 SC Barcelona vs. Maracaibo game even though I haven't meddled with the wiring or done anything else that should interfere with its operation... mayhaps its a dirty chavista vcr-deck. Anyone hazard a guess as to whether or not FSW would sell me a copy of theirs?

Mayhaps i will send them a whiny email about Max Bretos and slip a request for the tape in there.

can't let this thread go on for much longer without mentioning Carlos Ruiz and his constant need for medical attention everytime somebody looks at him. and this on top of him dishing as much as he receivers. he's a big-league whiner.

one of DCs first games I got to enjoy one of Uniteds players doing the patented "latino-pain-roll".

oooooooh the pain -roll-roll-roll-... ohhh it hurts -roll- ... *motion as if sub is needed* -roll-roll- *motion as if giving a yellow card.. implying one should be given* -roll-roll-roll-

Bobby Convey might not be the biggest whiner in MLS but he might have the highest quality whines. The little jump up and down while throwing your hands up again and again is some quality whiney. He looks like a three year old when he does it, high comedy.

Man, I was rolling when I read that... "patented "latino-pain-roll" God my cheeks hurt from laughing so much. I have this picture of Ruiz doing just that in my head and it won't go away. On that note, Ruiz is my choice.

Not to sound like a xenophobe, but that is so often seen by latin players. Is this just an element of "gamesmenship" that we don't teach our players north of the border?

Not to bag on my DC boys, but Freddy is a bit of a baby too. Even after he pulled Waibel down yesterday, he was motioning for a foul call. I think he's just getting used to the style of play away from Bradenton, but he's never on the ground without his hands in the air.

Adu's going to have to get over it.

As for my vote, Ruiz all the way. He whines even when people bitch to the ref about him. Anyone see in yesterday's game that the NE defense kept appealing to the ref to call elbows on Ruiz an Ruiz would just run around with that damned ass whiny face?

I also get him an 8 for the stab-to-the-stomach-flop-and-roll-on-the-ground that he did during the game near midfield. When he figured out no one gave a rat's ass he was up and going like always.

we could almost make a highlight reel of mls whiners..

i actually rather enjoy seeing donovan/adu/etc appealing to the ref.. it shows they actually give half a crap about whats going on. i can't stand when a guy falls down and stays down and writhes well after the play has past and then hops up on the sidelines and runs right back on... who are you fooling? you're not gonna help your case that way you're just gonna make your team do extra running! beasely's way of just getting up and then after the first few fouls he'll just say something or make a sign with his hand saying "thats #4/5/6 etc times he's done that..."

i think thats why the bease isn't mentioned as a whiney whiney bastard when he DEFINITELY has an impatient, petulant "look" he gives to referees... like would they please quit dicking around and do their jobs...

its gamesmanship nonetheless but its almost an honorable kind of gamesmanship... and frankly if i had to go up against dema and agoos and franchino i'd probably be doing the pain roll a bit from ACTUAL pain.

my vote for biggest whiner is Ruiz.
my pick for number 2 is Beasley, the twig goes flying if someone breathes on him. he falls down more than a toddler with his laces tied together

Most definitely Donovan. He expects everyone to move out of the way when he comes through. He is an underachiever so therefor resorts to dives..
