Okay I'm listening to Coldplay, contemplating whether I want to spend $34 to go see them on a Thursday night in February in Wallingford. I've always been a junky for the UK sounds...Oasis, Stone Roses, Verve, manic street preachers, Supergrass. Gene, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Charlatans, Cure, Doves, and now Coldplay. I'm sure I've got others, Eat, English Beat, Madness and more. So do any of you have any comments about the Wonderstuff? I heard some tunes on the digi cable and thinking of buying this. Any others you would recommend?
What night and where in Wallingford? I'm completely there. I think this will be a well-subscribed thread.
The Music http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...40784/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_3_1/026-4224250-8096428 Best band i've heard for a long time.... They support coldplay on their USA tour BTW..

Is McCabe in that or is it the other cats? I would really like to hear them. I have the import of Ashcroft's new one and I like it a ton more that Alone with Everyone.
Feb 27th - 7:30. and I'm waiting to get The Music. When does that come out in the US? I heard about The Shining, but haven't heard anything by them.
I got it from a local store here in Indy (Luna Music) which always has tons of imports. Track one on the new disc is far better than anything from Alone. It's good to see him getting back into form.
Coldplay is coming here in a few weeks too but I just can't afford thirty bucks on this one. It's a shame I'd love to see them. But luckily I do have tickets to see Johnny Marr next week.
I'm out of work right now, so I'm hoping I have a new deal by then or I'll feel guilty dropping $45 (adding the charge for tickets) on myself.
You guys are killing me. So the list is now: The Music Richard Ashcroft's 2nd cd The Shining and some other band that has a 25 minute cd of ripping tunes. Any info on the Wonderstuff?
I still haven't heard the newest idlewild, but 100 broken windows (their 2nd) is excellent and you may wanna add that to your list.
Gene aggrivates me a bit. They try too hard to sound like the smiths sometimes...but i'll still listen to them every once in a while.
I've got 8th row center tickets to see Coldplay on Friday. I just got laid off of my job yesterday and had already paid for the tickets, so you bet your butt I'm going to enjoy this one as it is the last concert I will be attending for a while.
I'm also a junkie for the British sound. I would recommend adding bands like: Travis Blur Manic Street Preachers
