I was there, gentlemen. Not the greatest game, I know, but it was one hell of a privilege being there to see two of Ecuador's greatest making their Premier League debuts for their new teams. As it turns out, there were just as many Ecuadorians in the stands as there were on the field: Seriously, I only saw ONE other Ecuadorian. This guy came from Barcelona and spoke with a Spanish accent. lol And here's a short video clip I took of Valencia in action: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y_D4TfaSLQ"]YouTube - Antonio Valencia vs Birmingham City at Old Trafford[/ame] He got past the defender and put in a good cross. The stars may not have aligned properly for that cross to have been an assist, but he did a good job. Some pics: (I'm not embedding them because bigsoccer resizes them and makes them look horrible) http://i32.tinypic.com/9urbsi.jpg http://i29.tinypic.com/a1h5px.jpg http://i28.tinypic.com/zof0l.jpg http://i30.tinypic.com/103cze1.jpg http://i25.tinypic.com/2dqnhvp.jpg http://i29.tinypic.com/2rhsq61.jpg I sure hope to go back soon!
Check out this video in HD. From 0:21 to 0:37 in the lower left corner you can see me waving the Ecuadorian flag. Opening day for ManU and 2 players on the field at the same time. Amazing times for Ecuadorian Soccer. Thanks for sharing!
What's with these two (Valencia & benitez) and predators, those cleats are one of the heaviest around. Anyway Nice pics, but espinoza was probably there so your ecuadorian count was off...:
