Mods if this goes else where, please move.

So I was thinking how to make all of the tourneys relevant. So here is my take.

CCL = MLC Cup Winner and SS to group stage. USOC and Superliga winners to prelim (obviously it would be the highest placed MLS team for Superliga if an MLS team didn't win).

Superliga = Teams 3-6 points wise from the previous MLS season.

Pan-Pacific = MLS Cup Winner get entry into tourney.

    Am I missing any tourneys?

I think this gives meaning to the Superliga and USOC, which in turn will make the MLS teams take these tourneys (esp USOC) seriously.

    What do you guys think?

I think SuperLiga and Pan-Pacific should not be methods of qualifying for international tournaments, since they are already international tournaments. What if no MLS team performs well in it? Well I don't want to reward that with a cup placement.

I think MLS could have their version of FMF's "Interliga" and play it in January, and the winner of that qualifies for something. That would keep fans with something to hold them over between seasons, as well as keep MLS players game-fit for national team duty.

At some point, some of these tournaments have to go to the lesser finishers, instead of making the winners compete in everything. Maybe we could turn SuperLiga into CONCACAF's "UEFA Cup"?
