I never thought I'd say this, but COME ON WIZARDS!

Perhaps I'm putting the cart before the horse, but could you imagine the psychological advantage the Rapids would have if they advance to the second round against the Whiz?

I kinda don't care on this one, it would be nice to have more home games... but I think we stack up incredibly well with both teams... We know that we can beat both teams on the road... But yeah, we've not lost to KC...

It's a toss up. KC plays a style the Rapids haven't really been able to overcome. I haven't seen either of the LA/KC playoff games, but from the scores it looks like KC hasn't really played their typical 10 men behind the ball. Guess it's a moot point if the Raps don't bring it all tonight.

I would prefer to have the Wizards back here for two reasons. One: Tony Meola and the endless heckling about his watching the jumbo screen replay which led to the 50 yard chip over him by..........Chris Albright. Two: A possible road trip to KC if the timing is right.

How do you figure that? Their worst result this year against KC has been a tie (twice -- first and last games). The other two meetings were wins for the Rapids.

Rapids vs Wiz would be a Friday-Tuesday-Friday series with the Friday games in Mile High.

okay, poor choice of words. generally it's a bit of a yawn to watch the Wiz regardless of who they're playing. either way, the uncertainty of which Rapids team will show up on any given day is the biggest problem - it's not the opponent.

If the series is Rapids-Wizards, game 2 is on Tuesday. That would become a definite road trip for me, my clients be damned.

It would truly break my heart to miss an Anthropology class, where 20+ freshman girls discuss the anthropological reason why their hips are big...

C'mon Rapids! throw me a bone! I'm salivatin'!

If and it's a big IF, we get through, KC officials are saying we would get a Wednesday match not Tuesday.

They handed out fliers at the LA match at Arrowhead and I got a season ticket form letter today saying Wednesday also.

I too hope we play each other, but you're right you have owned us this year.

I dont know about that......Meaning both teams would play Wednesday game 3's and then Friday? That seems quick to me.

I'm pulling for KC bigtime... hopefully they can win and LA can take their "we get first choice on any new signings" policy and go on vacation.

    Go Wizards!

If the Rapids miraculously get home field, yes, the game would have to be Friday. There is a Broncos game at Invesco on Sunday, and they always want that extra day in between the get the field set up for football.

    Into the Next Round!

So now that we have beaten Dallas does anyone know what time the Rapids would be arriving at DIA on Thursday? It would be neat to go greet them & give them a heroes welcome.

I'm happy that KC lost. Yeah I'd rather have two home games .... but watching KC is SO boring.

It's time to lose Gansler. His tatics are hurting MLS they are so boring!

Go Rapids kick the Ezra out of LA!

KC is the most exciting football club on the planet. It's the beautiful game as it was meant to be played.

What the heck is a Rapids fan talking about? The Rapids have been considered pretty boring over most of their history.

The only thing that matters is stopping LA!

Keyword is history. I think we are one of the more exciting teams to watch this year.

And yes KC is the Rapids of old.

WTF? But for a bogus, phony, Koreanesque PK, we win in two games. We had two good games and one bad one.

KC scored 8 goals in the series. That could hardly be called boring.

The Rapids, OTOH, scored 5 in their series with the Burn, and it took a Mini-game to do it.

Be careful who you call boring, though I agree the Rapids are fun to watch this year with their fluid midfield play (Pibe, Chung, Pablo, and the rest)...

Personally I find a 1-0 game alot more entertaining than a 4-1 game. I won't even mention how entertaining a single goal would be if the keeper had his back turned when it went it. Unfortunatly that would be entertaining in the comedic sense. I wonder if thats ever happened. Anyone know? ;)

I'm not sure. Let's ask Tony Meola when he comes back to Invesco next season.
