i know the guy in charge of sports packages here in San Diego at Cox Cable. i called him this morning asking him whether MLS Shootout would be available this year. he said he wasn't sure but since it was "his job to know", he would call InDemand to find out and get back to me. he called me back 30 minutes later and said he'd talked with InDemand and who told him the Shootout package would definitely be available this year. he was 100% certain, FWIW. he said it should be made officially available in a week or so, DEFINITELY before the season starts, but he wasn't really sure about specifically when. just figured i'd pass on the news for all you digital cable subscribers out there, who might be a bit nervous.
Re: Re: My local Cox Cable mole says MLS Shootout definitely on through InDemand this year Is this a resub discount?
no, i was too excited to actually ask the price. i'd be a tad surprised if the price actually came down from last year, considering (to us diehards anyway) it seems like such a great deal to begin with. but whatever they want to do, it's fine by me, as long as it's being offered...and by the beginning of the year!
Re: Re: Re: Re: My local Cox Cable mole says MLS Shootout definitely on through InDemand this year I think Cox gives a 10% discount on PPV packages. I got one on the Shootout last year and the ESPN Full Court this year.
Excellent ... now I just need to go over to the local Adelphia office to talk to the PPV person there. Hopefully the official announcement will come soon.
