I think we should try a standard name and number font for every team in the league, like the Premiership does. I think this would be pretty cool.

As long as it's not that Atari-looking font Tampa Bay had. I decided to watch the tv movie "V" last year for some reason... nostalgic I guess, and, at one point in the movie, they had some tv news scene. The background graphic behind the news desk had that same font. "Alien Invaders" or something like that. Cracked me up.

I was thinking something similar to the Real Madrid numbers, or just something original. I don't really trust MLS to come up with it though.

The Real numbers look like Krylon-ed on. I have the font on my computer.

yeah, lets call MLS, " The American Premier league " instead of MLS.

*Yawn* It was just an idea. You guys are idiots if you think I was saying it so MLS can be like the EPL. I just think it might make MLS merchandising a little easier, and over-all, I think it looks nice.

DC United had good looking numbers and font on their 97 or 98 jerseys, not sure which year it was. But it was very similar to the EPL's. Then the following year they switched to the block letters. Suddenly their jerseys started looking like crap and soon after they started playing like crap. Coincidence?

Most teams use their suppliers' standard letter/number font.

And, to be fair, it's not just an English League thing:

Scottish League, German Bundesliga, and the Spanish League now have or are transitioning to a standardised font for all teams.
