Oh, so you watch videos on youtube, you listen to Joe Brogan and you watch Fox News. Furthermore, you really believe all those tweets and all those memes that your aunt forwards to you, even Petro's face looks kind of big and at an awkward angle. But, ha, you liburals believe CNN and MSNBC and Noticias Uno, so you are basically the same!!

The politics and current events forum is a good place to get US political news. Off course it became a liberal circle since the GQP positions became indefensible and the libertarians proved to be just one issue voters. But most of the posters there are very informed and good debaters.

To create an opinion I tend to read pretty much everything, I don't like TV, here in Colombia I cannot stand RCN or Caracol, most sources are skewed but those two are the worst garbage. As the Main sources of information in Colombia they have a responsibility to provide impartial information and they certainly do not.

What is a "White Colombian"? Most Colombians I know are a mix of many different ethnic backgrounds and blood lines.

Also, what is the point of the tweet? Life expectancy lowered due to a pandemic and people sheltering- in- place for weeks on end. How is that news?

1. White Colombian is a reference to something that a poster (Froboy maybe?) said in the Immigration thread.

2. The effect seems to be more acute on those that consume fake news, meaning 5 years vs. 1 or 2 for the rest of the population.

Well, this is where political spin is going both ways.
Sure the FAA union is not coming out and saying the reason is because of mandates officially. (Unions do not like that sort of publicity.)

BUT There is a large segment of pilots and other workers that do not like the mandate and do not want to be forced to take the vaccine so it is a part of the greater issue at hand.

I think it was reported that almost a third of the work force would be let go. That is a lot of people who do not want the mandate and that effects union meetings and politics.
