This is what is happening in my Champ Man game.

First I started this one on August 6, 2002.

    Teams and managers:
Let me state that I manage all teams, but use names from real world and people that I know.

Dundee - Manager: M- Anderson, a friend of mine who likes Dundee, and gave me a scarf. Had him sell some crap - bought Peter Lovenkrands, Carsten Fredgaard, Joe Max Moore, Morten Weighorst, and some other guys. Season 2001/02 - finished 2nd behind Celtic.

West Ham: Glenn Roeder - I didn't start with them, but after season one they got relegated so I took them over. Sold Hutchison, Kanoute, DiCanio, and the dross. Bought Solskjaer, Vryzas, and Acuna. struggling in 1st division - but safe from relegation. Have large amounts of cash to spend.

PSV - Me - like the Dutch. Bought Clint Mathis, and he is bombing them like no one else. Has 49 goals in 71 games, with 15 assists, MoM 10 times already. rated a 7.72 this season. PSV won title in first season, 2nd in the current season. Mathis scored his 50th goal while writing this.

Roma - my son. He likes Totti and Batigol. He has a bit of input. Bought Nuno Gomes and some defenders, and Dino Baggio (our dog is named after him, and the 13 year old thought we should get him).

Anderlecht - for my friend in Belgium, Vince. Took over at midway point as a place to buy Yanks. Finished 2nd, a point behind. Bought Josh Wolff, Michael Mols, Daniel Hernandez and Devin Barclay. The Yanks were all recent acquisitions. Sitting in 2nd again - but gaining ground.

Denderhouten - Olof. This guy was managing Rangers and got fired. He got this job and is trying to sign Americans from lower divisions. Signed Steve Danbusky, but that was all they could get. Tough to manage lower division team in Belgium. Wanted to check out work permits and see if they could sign anyone - they can.

Man U Scum: Carlos Quiroz - why not, usually it's Alice Ferguson. They have bought anything and anyone that any of the above teams. They have 3 starters from Denderhouten . They bought Seol from Anderlecht, as well as three bench guys from the boys in Purple. They have been playing Paul Radchubka in goal. They are in 3rd in the EPL and advanced to the 3rd round of the CL. I fired all the coaches, scouts, and sold Roy keane. Will sell beckham soon

Rangers: The Vicar - that's right, from Bigsoccer fame. He takes the other crap that Man u won't take. Sold his best players, had Reyna leave on a Bosman, tried to sign Razov. 11th place and struggling.

    Okay feel free to contribute.

    I know.

But this is a special thread devoted to my game - what I do and what the players do. It's going to be a fun thread for all to see and learn from.

    :D

He won't do it - just got him on a Bosman. It appears that Stoica will be moving after the season in a big money move.

Also Anderlecht has bought Brad Friedel and he is their number 1.

Josh Wolff assisted on the game winning goal in the Belgian Cup quater-finals to Walter Baseggio.

    Rangers lost

    Man U tied leeds

PSV, Roma, Dundee all continue to win.

I'd be stunned if you got any decent offers for Stoica. How many leagues are you running?

Trust me, he will be sold. Man U can always come in and buy him for some stupid amount of money.

Or I can always use Lazio to buy him if need be.

Did I mention that West Ham bought Eddie Lewis?

I'm thinking of adding a 2nd Dutch team to the mix.

I guess that's the fun part of Belgian and Dutch teams...being able to buy any foreigner. I got a few seasons down the road with RSCA and once the African footballers start getting regenerated all you have to do is send a few scouts down there and you have a pipeline for cheap talent that you can sell on for a huge profit if you want.

    Good idea.

I never thought of the regenerated players, how long before that happens?

Every time a player retires there is a player to replace them. The first couple of seasons in CM there are not that many good youth players coming up because the only players that retire are crap players. But as you get further into CM every year there are many future superstars coming in. Scandinavia is also a good place to scout for cheap talent. In fact there are many good young players that start off the game in Sweden.

    Carsten Fredgaard

    Kim Kallstrom

    and many more

I love the Scandinavian leagues. I'll add a team in Denmark pretty soon.

Can't find Taylor Twellman in the game though.

Try Sergio van Dijk (sp?). I believe he's Swedish.
Also, Tonton Zola Mokouko (sp?, also Swedish) is money, too.

What version do have and did you download any data updates? I have ver. 3.9.65 with no data updates and he plays with TSV 1860. Did you check 1860s amatuer side, TSV 1860 (A)?

Did you use the maximum, normal, or minimal database?
Could also be if you aren't running the German league he wouldn't be important enough to be used in the db.
