Yeah, I saw that too. Actually its funny. I thought his name was SCott all along until yesterday when they announced him as one of the finalists for ref of the year. Then I realized that of the 4-5 times his name was in the atricle they were all STott.
No mark it isn't you. I hadn't created it until today. It should be up and running now. Also. Does somebody want to write the copy on the Mystics page? Just something I can cut and paste?
Thanks for the good work Matt. Much needed and appreciated. Constructive note -- "views" is spelled incorrectly on the opening page.
Other chants I know it's a simple one, but it's my favorite: Here we go, Here we go, Here we go, Here we go, Here we go, Here we goooooo-o Here we go, Here we go, Here we go, Here we goooo-oh HERE WE GO......GO WIZ and don't forget 1-2-3 Nice shot jackass Hey (name), your mom says hi --->she's good in bed is optional Also, I think the na na chant is done to the tune of Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye by Steam . Could be wrong though. The web page is a great idea. Thanks for the hard work. If there is anything you'd like me to help with, let me know. Chris
I've got most of the new graphics created, and all the javascript written. I just need to upload onto my own page to test for errors. Also, I found a few other spelling mistakes, and fixed those, too. I kept most of the look and feel that Matt made, and improved the clunky yahoo stuff. I should have a prototype up and running by the end of the week.
I like the look and feel Matt made. It sounds like you're making an entirely new web design to overlay on the same web address. Matt just asked for help, not a completely new web design. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I really don't care if it is completely redesigned or not, as long as I can update it easily. There are still about 4 more pages that I haven't even put up yet. What I think Jace is doing will make navigation and graphics a ton smoother. From the impression of what Jace said earlier, I think the basic look and feel of it will be the same. The difference is it is going to have more of a "frames" type feel to it where the only thing that changes is the main screen. I am kind of doing this now, but the long way though, as in I have a template that I use to create the page is with, though if I want to make a change in the navigation, like I did when adding the "cauldron" and "mystics" page I had to go through and change every single page, it takes about 10 min. to do so. I could be way off base here, but I think that is what is going to happen.
Re: Re: Re: Other chants No, we sing to "Hey Jude". At the end of the song McCartney sings: Nah, Nah, Na Nah-Na-Na-Nah... Nah-Na-Na-Nah... Heeeyyy Juuuuuude. Now insert Heeeeeyyyy Bluuuue.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Other chants Man, I've been wrong the whole season. But at least I didn't sound wrong.
More chants Matt: Not sure how the formatting on the web page works, I'm hoping you can just cut and paste these. I love chants, they are my 2nd favorite part of the Cauldron. (the first being the people in it) Here are three more I can remember doing this season, at least once or twice Meola, Meola He came to Kansas City When we were really........Bad Meola, Meola rinse and repeat Our hero has a first name It's P-R-E-K-I Our hero has a second name It's R-A-D-O-um,mm,mm Rinse and repeat If I had the wings of sparrow If I had the ass of a crow I'd fly over (opponent's city) tomorrow And sh!t on the bastards below Sh!t on, sh!t on Sh!t on those bastards below rinse and repeat Hope these help
You're wrong Matt hit the nail on the head: I used nearly the exact same layout/look and feel that was already in place, and just cleaned up some of the HTML and added some javascript to simplify everything. As it is, Matt's design reloads the left-hand navigation on every new page. This takes longer to load, and a littly clunky to update. My design actually makes it easier to update and looks a little better (custom buttons on the navigaton that OnMouseOver, etc. and a few supplimental graphics (Kansas City script as opposed to text, etc)
Figures... Matt. Personally I'd mention the Mystics on the Cauldron page, and not have them on separate pages. Because, as has been asked but never answered, do the Mystics really exist anymore?
That is the junction that I am at right now. I think the mystics are officially philosophical "I think there for I am." type of thing right now.
ok, I am at the point where I want to create a name for this site. I am taking suggestions. Is anybody talented with photoshop or something that they can create a special graphic/logo for this site. and one that can be put on links to other webpages?
http://people.ku.edu/~astrakat/wizards/index.html just a rough test of the javascript & new graphics. let me know i f yo find any errors
the java buttons on the left worked however the rest of the pics did not load. site is getting better Hopefully the site can become the official page of the cauldron and grow your firm boys!!!
I assume the pics don't load on the main page because they're linked direct from Geocities. Nav buttons work (except for "Home") and look good. I would probably make them just a bit larger, but that's getting kind of picky.
