My 2022 World Cup Group Stage Predictions: What do you think?

In retrospect as I noted before this started.

Group F and Group H were the strongest groups.

 

France, Brasil and Portugal all played their B teams in final match game, lost it, than came and whacked their opposition senseless.

 

My ranking of teams left:
1. Brasil
2. France
3. Portugal
4. England
5. Holland
6. Morocco
7. Argentina
8. Croatia

With 1, 2 and 3 clearly ahead of the pack. Argentina will not win this as they are too reliant on one player. Tournament winner will be from 1-5 as they as great teams with great players.

 

1/4 finals:
Brasil vs Croatia (N)
Holland vs Argentina (N)

France vs England (E)
Portugal vs Morocco (N) (more heart, than expecting)

Group E was stronger than H in my opinion. The fact their teams didn't advance to QF doesn't matter (in any case both lost on PSO).

Historically teams coming out from the "group of death" don't go far in the tournament.

 

Yeah E has a stronger top 3 for sure, but E had one really weak team (who still did very well all things considered)

I'm actually unsure how good Germany really is though tbh. They've been poor even in nations league.

I nailed two quarterfinals with Netherlands - Argentina and Morocco - Portugal.
