As you may or may not know, since the YES Network stopped showing MUTV programming, you could catch some of the MUTV programming on Setanta's Pub Channel in your local bar. Latest developments indicate that Setanta is developing a Setanta Residential Channel (that will carry the same programming as the Pub Channel, plus more) that will probably cost around 10/12 dollars a month and available on DirecTV. It's rumoured to be launching near the end of April. Here's the thread for more details: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=161693&page=1&pp=20
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA The loss of MUTV programming on YES is only slightly (and I mean slightly) made up for the fact that I now get GOL TV on DirecTV.
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA Yeah, the month I finally got DirecTV was the first month after they dropped the MUTV programming.... I'm looking forward to getting Setanta channel as it'll have some other sports (Gaelic football is cool) and maybe even some CL games in addition to the MUTV stuff....
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA On the upside, though, FSW changed to FSC not to long ago...a positive move! I think you'll like having DirecTV as a soccer fan.
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA Considering switching from Dish Network to DirecTV now that they have GolTV and hopefully Setanta. I'll have to look into other programming as well, and what kind of content Setanta will really have.
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA I have digital cable and I might have to switch over. I just wish we could get the MUTV channel stateside.
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA Still more conflicting reports... However; it looks set to appear on DirecTV Channel 615 on April 16, 26, or August. (told you there were conflicting reports )
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA Damn I just got a new HD receiver from Dish Network (leased though, so I could still switch).
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA Here it is: http://www.setanta.com/content/setanta/na/cms.nsf/systemcontent/howtosubscribe http://www.setanta.com/content/setanta/na/cms.nsf/systemcontent/tvschedule?open&action=channel&dateadjust=7& Launches on April 26th... On April 28th, they're showing the classic Juve/United match from 1999 followed by Red Hot News from MUTV, then a call in show with Paddy Crerand and Steve Bower... also there's a "Day in the Life of Old Trafford" being shown a couple of times as well... WOOHOO!
Re: MUTV Programming in the USA "$11.99/month for residential customers" That's a pretty good chunk of change. I'll have to think it over, but thanks for the info.

Re: MUTV Programming in the USA I'm moving an looking at getting direct TV. I Looked up Setanta the other day because I was intrrested in Rangers and Celtic games. I was amazed to see that Ipswich game as that was the alst Premiership game I went to.
MUTV (the real channel in the UK) carries repeats of matches very soon after the game has finished for most competitions. I'm not sure if Setanta will carry any of the Reserve matches or not, but I think they will show repeats of the most recent premiership matches like FSC does....
That show on Best was, well, the best. I had never seen anything other than a clip or two on GB. It was amazing. There were also some excellent highlights of others. Think it was Charlton and Law, maybe. It was great last night was well worth the $12.
Oh yeah. Bestie was the greatest. That clip of him playing for the San Jose Earthquakes where he dribbled past 5 guys and fired it in.... I was there. I'll have to find some pics of me and him together when I was 9/10 years old. I'll have to dig out some of my videotapes of him as well... he was awesome to watch.
Red Hot News will be on Tuesday at 5:00pm ET Countdown to kickoff show at 5:30pm Charlton Vs. United at 7:00pm Red Hot News repeats and then something called MUTV Sky+Box is on from 11:45pm-1:15am Looking forward: Thursday at 7pm it's Man Utd vs. Panathinaikos, then Terrace Talk m Red Hot News and then Liverpool vs. Man Utd Don't know from whence the games above were originally played yet, but they usually show good performances by us. A note from Setanta about MUTV:
Hey Motter do you know if any of Man U's summer tour matches or champions league qualifiers will be on Setanta or any other channel in the US
