I would like to see the so called "moderate" British muslim come out and speak more against these people. The truth is Islam is a religon that is not tolerant of others. Whereever Muslims are there is conflict in the World. We let these people build their Mosques here and this is the thanks we get. Could you practice being a Christian in Saudi Arabia ?

there's another Muslim organisation having a memorial for september 11th tomorrow that will remember the victims including the British Muslims who were killed in the attacks.

I wonder which event will get more press coverage?

My guess is that the one that will get more coverage is the one that is celebrating September 11. Why? Because its completely assinine to celebrate the fact that 2500+ people were murdered. I really hope someone gets loose with a nice big AK and a homemade bomb on the group. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I wouldn't mind it either if there are several 4 or 5 year old kids there, and if they were to die in the explosion, that wouldn't be such a bad thing. :)

Give me a freakin break, since when has Al Jezeera ever given fair coverage to anything the west does. Its a two way street which the Arabs just like the west are more then willing to participate in.

and oh by the way.. thankfully this is the tolerante west, where these jack asses dont have to worry about being gunned down for their beliefs. No matter how disgusting they are, no one deserves to be gunned down or blown up for believing in something... I wonder if the Arab press will report that?

China opresses chrisitians too. Police often raid christian groups places etc.

    It's wrong, but I can't exactly say I feel sorry for christians.......:D

Christians have opressed and forced people to convert for hundreds of years, in Africa, South America, Europe, etc.

Its the 21st century. Different times. Its almost as bad as black asking for slavery reperations. No one forces anyone to do anything nowadays, if anyone does, usually its the US who comes to their rescue.

If what they beleive is killing innocent victims to gain attention to their cause, they they deserve to be shot execution style.

BTW Al Jezeera does report on BOTH sides, thats why ARABS in the ARAB world both despise and love to watch that network. The network doesnt check with the US when reporting thing like OBL tapes and whatnot, that what got them in trouble with the US.

You're right, any group whose representatives have been responsible for atrocities committed hundreds of years ago deserves no sympathy for atrocities committed against it today. Moron.

But unlike Saudi Arabia, it is legal to build churches, to worship in them, to wear crosses, and to purchase Bibles. You can do all of that in Mainland China, but you can't in Saudi Arabia.

And as for not feeling sorry for Christians, Christians do more to help people around the world than any other religious group (both Catholics and Protestants), regardless of the religious affiliation of those they are helping.

You're comparing Chinese Christians who risk being murdered by police every time they worship in the "privacy" of their own home to Jerry Fallwell??

Chinese risk being murdered every time they worship in their own home? Wow, that would be news to the numerous Christians I know in Mainland China.

What they do is against the law in China, and in China the cops are answerable to pretty much no-one. There may not be much of a risk, but there is a risk.

As a moderate and liberal Muslim I want you to know that we have been speaking out everywhere. We aren't getting the press b/c frankly, we aren't as interesting. We've been grieving and condemning the attacks left and right. We're trying.

Yes, there is something very seriously wrong when people use the name of God to commit evil. But it's not just us. Just like in every faith, we have people who take the name of religion to advance their political aims. It's not right and we are trying to change that.
