Sure hope this thread keeps going all season and doesn't abruptly come to an angry halt in March when he decides he's a lion at heart.
Musah is nowhere near as good on the outside as he is in the middle of the field. That is clear from watching the US games vs these Valencia games. I don't know much about Valencia's options, but I wonder how far behind those options in the middle of the park for Valencia.
Are they playing a four man midfield (not watching)? With this personnel, seems like a midfield similar to the way he played for the US could fit, if the manager wanted that as a tactic.
I don't know how much of Musah's potential can shine as this Valencia team is not very good. Even on the sequence where he got picked and Eibar was able to mount a quick counter, the moment was lost because none of teammates showed for a pass.
valencia is in a period of financial transition iirc so they might be adding sooner rather than later
They seem to be playing a 4-4-2 with Musah at RM. He has been quickly getting into a more forward central position on a few counter attacks, though.
musah off. he was pretty okay but this has been all and all a pretty ugly match in my stop start viewing
Probably because he looks like a guy who stole my girlfriend in high school. Oh wait...that can't be it. I never had a girlfriend in high school.
Musah starting as usual. My take away from watching 25 minutes of a poor feed: the closer he is to the touch line the more pedestrian he is, the more central he's allowed to get the better he is. Not surprising.
Musah on in the 86th minute of a Copa del Rey match against Terrassa, a Tercera (fourth division) side. They're losing 2-1 - got a PK just before Musah came on to close the gap. Valenica look terrible, Terrassa doesn't even have to bunker, they're just beating them.
Musah beats two guys downthe line at right midfield and draws a straight red from the third defender. We're 10 v 10 now.
GOAL MUSAH! Corner kick in the 91st minute, no one gets a head on it, Musah just puts it on frame for the tying goal. So he may have some extra time...
Musah and Weah's goals were so simultaneous I couldn't tell you which happened first in reality. Within the buffering time of my browser.
10 v 10 and Musah is probably the fastest person on the field. Seriously, he came on and in six minutes had evened the number of players on the field and evened the score.
