It looks like Kezar Pub is often so crowded by kickballers, or fans of WWE or whatever this sport called, that it is almost impossible to have a beer (or five) in there after a game. I propose declaring Murio's Trophy Room (located on the Haight street by Amoeba music store just one block away from the Kezar Pub) our official backup post-game destination. The place is pretty big, and usually not crowded at all. A few of 1906ers ended up having a few pints in there yesterday, and it was fun. Unfortunately, they seemingly put something funny in their beers, because one of us ended up throwing up, after all ...
For the last two games, it might be a thought. Now, I just hope if I do have a pint over there I don't end up puking again.
Murio's is a fun little dive -- coin-operated pool table, good jukebox, just grungy enough to scare away the yuppies. An excellent choice -- if I get to the game tomorrow, I'll be there. (September 8 for sure.)
Please, don't get me wrong, though. I would never ever propose abandoning Kezar Pub, but ... if it is too crowded by non-soccer crowd: it is much better to get wasted at Murio's than going home sad AND sober.
