I can't belive it. Even though I didn't personnaly know him, by following him here and in his blog in ESPN Deportes I feel like I did. My prayers go out to him and his family, may he rest in peace.

Shocking and saddening news! What makes this even more tragic is that going by his blog as parazer mentioned, he seemed like a decent family man. My lasting memory of him on the pitch will probably be his famous goal against Brazil...

    RIP Toño.

Very sad news indeed I feel bad for his wife and daughter

Aguirre never called him up for the seleccion scince he recently
    took helm of Ei Tri

I never post in this forum, but today, I feel moved to.

As an US National Team fan, the Mexican National Team are my most hated rivals. I will never cheer for them, and will almost always hope they lose by a goal or four.

At a moment like this, the rivalry means disappears.

My deepest symphonies to the entire Mexican Futbal community. We all mourn the loss of a member of the global soccer family. My thoughts and prayers are with the DeNigris family.
