Sutter Health, the organization I work for, is a nonprofit and also a jersey sponsor, for Bay FC in the NWSL. Which I only know because they gave us free jerseys a few months ago as a token of their appreciation. Most people in my office said no thanks and gave them back.

Now, the name on the shirts is Nationwide Insurance. FYI, the connection is a $50M donation to the hospital from the insurance giant. They were Children's Hospital before the donation.

It looks like the GOP is entertaining cuts to health care to pay to extend the Trump tax cuts. So in that instance, who is responsible? The Health Care CEOs or Congress? It will be important to know who deserves to be assassinated more when somebody's loved one dies because they were denied health care.

I remain convinced that the unabated 40+ years of CEO worship is going to be a problem. Biden may have been the most successful left wing President (How he'll be judged as a general President is a different matter), but I think if hard left types gave him credit we get a different story. I deleted a post that was all pissed off about how NY better charge their next school shooter with terrorism, ergo 1st degree murder, since kids in school are MORE numerous and MORE vulnerable than adults, both kids and adults being subjected to the shock and attention and intimidation, safety being threatened, necessary to tack on terrorism to a murder charge. I'm not entirely sure NY has not done this, hence deletion. But by God adult victims better not be more equal than kids. That would be righteously fvcked up. Mangione already was charged with murder in the Dec. 4 killing, but the terror allegation is new.
