Good article. Also talks about Carey Talley, Ross Paule, and Jonny Walker. I had no idea all of them are from Memphis.
You know, we got off your back about that practice report so you could get it done, not so you could go posting on BS.
Speaking of cars going in circles, did the switch of NASCAR coverage to NBC effect you in any way, Buzz.
I thought NBC's coverage was pretty darn good.....more watchable then Fox's. I didn't watch for very long, and when I did not much was going on, but I liked what I saw. Fox's over-reliance on graphics always bothered me.
Yes, I liked the "through the field" thing. I guess I don't really pay much attention to the talent when watching races. Half the crap they say is so damn obvious. I'd rather listen to more of the audio feed from the spotters and the pit....that's always interesting.
[sales pitch]Well then you need NASCAR In Car. www.goincar.com. WE have seven channels of that kind of thing.[/sales pitch]
If I watched more than 15 minutes of NASCAR a week I might consider it. Unless....do you do the same for IRL??
Fox is generally more entertaining NASCAR coverage. DW, Larry Mac, Hammond, all those folks are obviously having a good time during the telecasts, and it's infectious. Sometimes the rain delays are as fun as the races NBC is solid, if a bit more straightforward. Take a drink every time Benny says "Jamie McMerry".
Okay... so back on topic: good article. Richard Mulrooney is just an all-around nice guy. The Posse saw him at the gate on Saturday and he seemed genuinely happy to talk to us and said he appreciated our card and everything. Doesn't even seem like he is looking at this season as "cursed." He seems to be doing just fine to us.
Talley, Mulrooney, Paule and Walker all played on the same club team, at the same time. Walker and Mulrooney played on the same high school teams and Talley and Paule played on the same high school teams.
