i don't believe that anyone in the heinz family is currently doing anything more than profiting from heinz co... but thk is definitely not in a position of power because whenever she makes one of her ridiculous comment, heinz usually issues a statement saying that her views are not supported by them and that she isn't affiliated with the company
That link doesn't exactly the your assertion that the reason she doesn't a controlling interest is because she can't keep her mouth shut. The phrase "non-partisan condiment" is pretty funny, though.
THk does not own a controlling interest in the company. She owns around 4 percent. While that is a decent stake in a company of that size, not nearly enough for her to enforce any kind of policy. Also Vfish is a bit off on his reason why. In 1995 she sold a good deal of their shares to diversify the holds. If I remember correctly, most of the factories that are over seas...were there to begin with when they bought them. Snopes has more on it and there are plenty of others. http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/heinz.asp Just curious and a bit off topic however, For those of you who pass on and believe the emails about Heinz outsource etc. Do you guys also believe the emails about the guy needing your bank account numbers so you can split money left to you from the unknown family member that just died in a car accident?
My apologies Vfish, skimmed through the post pretty quick and got your response mixed with anothers. I blame the cheap beer I was drinking last night.
What are you talking about? I simply provided a link to a Heinz press release, which you apparently didn't read. I offered no commentary, so please don't put your foot in my mouth.
Please tell me that you meant to say "please don't put words in my mouth?" Sorry, I confused you with the guy who said that THK was booted out for talking too much.
