The Men's Premiere Soccer League (MPSL) URL is http://www.mpls.info Nothing on their right now, other than a "coming soon" sign. Curious to see where the teams are going to be. Only thing clear right now is they will be out west.
Re: Oops: Corrected URL Wow. I'm impressed Especially love how they spell 'Arizona' in the first paragraph of their press release. Gives me hope that it's a professional organization. Even gets me more excited seeing Yan Skwara involved. Hope my sarcasm is drippingly obvious. Not that I've been a huge fan of the quality organization that is the USL. But the only thing that's more destructive than lack of professionalism for US soccer has been it's fragmentation tendencies.
Re: Re: Oops: Corrected URL Not to mention being afiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association and the USASA.
Is there a US Adult Soccer Association? Because USASA is usually the US Amateur Soccer Association, with which the W-League is affiliated (and, I assume, the PDL as well).
From the Web site www.usasa.com: The United States Adult Soccer Association, by an almost unanimous vote of the general council, was the new name adopted by USASA. Pretty recent, took place in August. Go down to the part about Changes Abound. I think what they were trying to get at was that they are part of the USASA and Region IV of the USASA and they got redundant. Just me picking the pepper out of the fly ca-ca as I am wont to do, but it does project an amateur image to me. Lord knows I have made boo-bos in press releases, stories, etc., but this was announcing the formation of a new entity and they had at least two errors, one of them a simple typo that Spellchecker would pick up.
These teams were listed on the following site about a month ago, but they are now gone. I pulled the info from my post over on usldiscussions.com http://www.pcjsl.com/pfront.html Tucson, Arizona Chico Reno Fremont, California Redwood City Lodi, California San Diego San Bernardino Sacramento Ashland (Oregon) Salt Lake City Phoneix Las Vegas
