https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25153 If money is no object, then iPod is it. But if you can't justify spending $300- $500, then my opinions are of no use to you.
Gotta agree with Skip. My little brother saved up his lunch money to get the iPod. I played with the thing, it's bigger then most mp3 players from what I've seen, but it's easy to use and holds an insane amount of songs.
Gotta go with the two above, iPod is the way to go. I've got a 10gig iPod and it holds plenty. For those who didn't know, you can get them for winblows computers as well as Macs.
I checked the list on Yahoo of most popular mp3 players and they said iPod too. Now I have to go think about this for a while.
if you have the money to spend there is no thinking that needs to be done... iPod is the way to go. i dont know anyone that if they had the cash wouldnt buy an iPod. the thing is amazing, best electronic device i have bought in the past few years...
Have any of you iPod owners had any problems? I got my wife an iPod 10gig last year and she's had all kinds of problems with it -- battery drain, freezes, etc.
I haven't had one problem with mine. It's worked flawlessly since I bought it. Did you return it to Apple?
nope, i have never had a problem and i have had mine about a year... return it to apple. they are about the most customer friendly people you will ever deal with, whatever the problem they will help ya out...and if you have had big problems hell, they will probably provide you with a new one.
I have a 5gb iPod and love it. I run with it and use it as a backup drive as well. Labdarugo, make sure you have the latest firmware for your iPod. The latest firmware in the US is 1.2.1. http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
I live in a two Pod house. Neither one of the iPods have ever had a problem in about a year of ownership. We love our iPods!
I'm thinking about getting an MP3 player too but I want one with a tuner as well. I don't see any MP3 players with tuners yet. Do they make them like this?
Thanks caddisfly. Downloaded the firmware a couple of days ago and that seems to have solved the battery problem. It's also been running fine. The freeze problems mostly happened when my wife took it running. That'll be the next test. Fingers crossed.
