. . .for the 80-year old East-West Shrine Game. The Shrine Game will be played there in January 2006, according to today's SF Chronicle. Organizers for the EWSG had considered moving the game to San Diego in 2007, but opted to move it to SA for the upcoming season instead. And that, my friends, is the only sports franchise moving to San Antonio in the foreseeable future! (Goodsporty, back me up on this, now!)

My grandpa gives me the Shriners tickets every year, so I'm actually sad about this myself. Any other Shriners Game attendees here? It's never recovered from leaving Stanford, and they got real lazy about attracting people for a couple years in a row, which killed the allure.
