I'm obviously not a NE supporter but the team holds high interest for me because of the interesting scenario of playing at the Pats stadium. Anyway I'm sure this question has been asked but I am wondering if there are any new rumors of building a stadium in Boston?

To sum it up. Nothing in Boston proper but everyone dreams of something next to the T since it's the only mode of transportation for the most of them.

As others noted, "Boston" is geographically very small (less than 49 square miles) compared to a city like Seattle (83 square miles). There are several sites in surrounding communities within 5ish miles of downtown undergoing development. Many of us are hoping that the Revs are actively involved and planning to build on one of these very urban locations.

We've heard lots of rumors from reliable sources, but the organization has been pretty quiet about the whole situation. Both the Mayors of Somerville and Revere are interested in the stadium, and there seems to be public support. All three sites (two in Somerville, one in Revere) are awaiting infrastructure (subway stations or car access) improvements which could be a reason for the delay.
