Quote me now, Edwards is the guy in 2004. I have that on pretty good authority (big time democratic $$$$ guy)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If Edwards is that valuable, the Dems should hold off on him until '08 unless the next six months are disastrous for the Bush administration. The odds on Bush getting re-elected are probably about 80/20 right now. Why let one of your best young stars lose a national election?

The only reason for Edwards to run now regardless of his probability of winning is if they think that he cannot win re-election in NC, in which case he's not that great of a candidate anyway. Work toward getting him re-elected to the Senate in '04 and ride the wave of good feeling into an '08 Presidential run.

as much as it hurts (not cause of you personally obie!), I think I agree, mostly. Barring a complete collapse of Bush's administration the next election is going to be a tough, tough win for the Dems. I don't think its 80/20, but hey, we all know you need much, much less than that anyways! Its going to be a fun show, nevertheless.

Hmmm... I think there is a person who would respond "Don't count your chickens before they are hatched."

Oh yeah, that person is George Bush the Elder.

Actually he said that to me about 1.5 years ago. A couple of months after the last election.

I don't know, I just don't think a guy who claims to communicate with the dead is going to go very far in 2004. Besides, he probably makes more money on his TV show.

He wouldn't even win North Carolina. Why don't we just call him Al Gore #2.

At first I thought this was going to be a thread about that "psychic" John Edward.

    He sucks too.

    :)

Me too. I was reading a "review" of his show in the NY post (It was the same one where the profs who hate article was published) the other day. The reviewer were astonished by Edwards’s ability to see her daughter had exactly two grandmas.
